SARAJEVO - The vicepresident of Republika Srpska (RS) Biljana Plavsic, who is now acting RS president, stated in her addressing to journalists in Pale that resignation of Dr. Radovan Karadzic to positions of RS president and president of the Serbi an Democratic Party (SDS) will not cause crucial changes to the state or Party's policy. "The state and Party's policy was con ceived by a broader group of people who are leaders of the DSS and RS. There will be no substantial changes, for Karadzic's opinion is regarded as mush as opinion of other leaders is", stated Biljana Plavsic.

BANJALUKA - The president of the Serbian Patriotic Party (SPAS) Slavko Zupljanin, assessed in Banjaluka that the act of the international community which forcibly extracted the resigna tion of president Karadzic from his posts in RS is unseen blow to the legal institutions and democratic in whole. "By such actions, carriers of the New World Order are unveiling the ruin of democ racy and the introduction of the political violence into prac tice", stated Zupljanin for SRNA.

BANJALUKA - The president of the National Party (NS) for RS Radoslav Brdjianin, said that the best thing for the Serbian people, in the moments of bitter pressures by the international community, would be teh convening an emergency session of the National Assembly, which deputies would take a stance about the newest developments.

BANJALUKA - The president of the Socialist Party of RS and presidential candidate of the Alliance for Peace and Progress, Zivko Radisic believes the withdrawal of Radovan Karadzic from strategic party's and state positions is a moral and political act done for the sake of his people and state.

BANJALUKA - The Main Board of the SPAS form Banjaluka sent an open letter to SDS in which it condemns the blatant methods and pressures by the international community. The letter adds that despite coping with blackmails an threats, the SDS still goes by its own way.

BEOGRAD - The Congregational National Party (SNS) assessed the withdrawal of Radovan Karadzic is extracted by blackmails and pressures by U.S.A., OSCE, the Hague Tribunal and Serbian and Yugoslav authorities. "Declaring Radovan Karadzic as being a public obstacle to the implementation of the Dayton agreement was aimed at covering of the real and insurmountable crisis faced with by the CroatMuslim Federation", concludes SNS.

BEOGRAD - The president of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Vojislav Kostinca, stated that retirement of Radovan Karad zic from the public and political life of RS is a result of "consistent pressures by the U.S. administration". Kostunica reminded that the U.S. administration blames the Serbs for everything, even for the fall of the Washington's creation - CroatMuslim Federation".

TESALONIKI - The resignation of Radovan Karadzic from all political and state functions in RS is commented by the Greek media as "his sacrifice for his own people", with an note that it is a mere result of the U.S., NATO and Serbian pressures. While commenting Radovan Karadzic's decision to resign, the Greek minister of information Mr. Dimitris Repas, stated at a regular press conference that Karadzic remains a significant person for his people, and that the Serbs know the best why he brought the decision he brought".

LONDON - The Independent concludes that the division of the Former B-H is so strong and nationalist positions are so implant ed among the Serbs, Croats and the Muslim that removal of Radovan Karadzic by itself cannot guarantee the rebirth of the former Yugoslavia. "With or without Karadzic, the elections will most likely confirm the domination of SDS in RS, the Party of Demo cratic Action in the Muslim and the Croatian Democratic Union in Croat part of the Federation", considers the Independent.

BONN - The German foreign minister Klaus Kinkel suggested a reimposition of the sanctions against RS if Radovan Karadzic "does not turn up in the Hague", writes the German paper Velt Am Sontag. If the sanctions are reimposed, the German minister thinks the extension of IFOR's mandate can be discussed "in order to enable the arrest of Karadzic."

BONN - The president of the Hague Tribunal Antonio Cassesse, stated that the Serbian sportsmen should be banned from partici pation at the Olympic games in Atlanta, which is a way to force Belgrade to deliver Karadzic and general Ratko Mladic to the Hague Tribunal, reports Reuters. "A pressure should be exerted upon Pale and Belgrade in order to have Karadzic and Mladic extradited before September elections", stated Casssesse in an interview for the Westdeutche Algemeine Zeitung.

SARAJEVO - The acting president of RS Biljana Plavsic, deco rated the Greek Caravan of Solidarity with the order of Njegos. Biljana Plavsic gave the oder to Marija Syimpu, head of the caravan who brought a financial aid for RS for 3,500 orphans from 26 municipalities in SR.

SARAJEVO - An U.S. plane "F-18" dropped a 240 kg weight bomb in the zone of separation, SW of Brcko, stated NATO spokesman Susan Loyd. She explained that the bomb exploded in a rural area, near the U.S. base.

MOSTAR - The Croatian Radio HerzegBosnia reports that the "atmosphere of holiday of St. Ilija, in Rostovo near Novi Trvnik, was spoiled by massages which appeared at the local Catholic graveyard saying: "There is no place for Ustashes", "Do not stay too long, a shell will come", with signature "Jihhad". Similar massages appeared on houses of Rostovo Croats.
