BONN - The Republika Srpska (RS) foreign minister Aleksa Buha, stated for the latest edition of the German paper Spiegel that following his exit from the political scene, Radovan Karad zic will preserve his political reputation", reports AFP. "Nobody can destroy Karadzic's authority", stated Buha for the Spiegel and added there are people among every nation who do not hold political office but who one day appear to decide the fate of their nation.

BELGRADE - The vicepresident of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), Slobodan Bijelic, stated for today's edition of Dnevni Telegraf (Daily Telegraph) that, pressured by Belgrade, Dr. Radovan Karadzic resigned from his post as party chief. "President Karadzic once again showed that his main interest is Republika Srpska (RS)", said Bijelic, assessing that "Milosevic has just completed a US-assigned task, saved his skin and posi tion - once more betraying the Serbs".

BANJALUKA - The president of the Democratic Patriotic Block and the presidential candidate Predrag Radic, expressed his doubt that "the forcibly extracted resignations of Dr. Radovan Karadzic form state and political functions will not be the end of pres sure on the Serbian people". Radic said the "pressure on the Serbian people has lasted too long", and added that "there must be only one winner at the elections - the Serbian people in RS."

DOBOJ - The international community has once again ignored impartiality and unequally treated Republika Srpska, said Mirjana Sainovic, president of the Doboj branch Radical Party, in a statement for SRNA. In commenting Dr. Radovan Karadzic's resigna tion from the position of Serbian Democratic Party president, she stressed that "he was forced to resign, and did so keeping in mind the interests of the Serbian people".

BANJALUKA - The National Party (NS) condemned the inconsist ent pressure by the international community and the misuse of the Hague Tribunal, which precipitated the resignation of the RS president Radovan Karadzic. A SN's press release stresses that president Karadzic had not created or implemented RS policy independently, but only did so as outlined by the SDS and adopted by the National Assembly, maintains the NS, adding that the ban from participation in the political and public life is considered by the party as an undemocratic act opposed to the Basic Declara tion on the rights of man.

BANJALUKA - The departure of Radovan Karadzic from all positions in RS is a logical consequence of international commu nity meddling in the path of the people's will in RS, stated the president of the Nikola Pasic Radical Patriotic Front, Bozidar Bojanic. According to him, "the aim of the pressure is to out manoeuvre the Dayton agreement to the detriment of the Serbs and establish a sovereign, secular B-H, as is and advocated by the Islamist fundamentalist faction only".

ZVORNIK - All Serbs in RS must vote in the September elec tions and give their vote to the SDS in order to prevent the puppet parties from winning, which would only help in submerging RS into the socalled B-H, believes a Serb from Chicago, Branis- lav Stanisic. Stanisic assessed Radovan Karadzic's withdrawal from the position of RS and SDS president as "the largest possi ble sacrifice of a man, a hero, and the symbol of the struggle for a Serbian state".

BEOGRAD - The Serb Sarajevo League for Peace, Human Rights and Democracy - an organisation of refugees - sent a sharp pro test to Belgrade regarding the impending visit of the Croat Muslim Federation vicepresident Ejup Ganic. "The is but the latest display of force and the most blatant disregard for jus tice - proven war criminals are not only being amnestied but also rewarded with appointments as international community negotia tors", says the protest sent to president Bill Clinton and the domestic and international public.
