NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The Serb member of the B-H Presidency, Mocmilo Krajisnik, talked in Pale with deputy Canadian foreign minister, Claude Loverdi, about the reconstruction of Republika Srpska (RS) and the Federation of B-H. While making point to the Canadian readiness to take active part in the reconstruction, Mr. Krajisnik mentioned that a complete concurrence of RS and Canadian delegations' positions was reached in the talks.

SARAJEVO - The RS vice-president and acting president of RS, Biljana Plavsic, assessed that the past elections were of immense importance for RS, its people, as well as the over-all situation in the former Yugoslavia. "September 14 elections put a full stop to a difficult period we have been through", stated Ms. Plavsic, while being guest at the Serb TV Studio Pale programme. She expressed her surprise for the OSCE which was responsible for the proper holding of the elections, allowed errors in the votes counting process and made the "matching" of the election results possible, and she announced a possibility of this organisation not being in charge of the monitoring the municipal elections.

DOBOJ - The Muslims from Gracanica crossed the inter-entity boundary line, without having a permission from the Serb authorities, and seized several residential buildings in the area of Stanica Rijeka, learns SRNA in Doboj municipality. The Doboj police reports the Muslims who went into the Stanica Rijeka area, are already carrying out works on the buildings.

DOBOJ - The RS prime minister, Gojko Klickovic, announced a new concept of dislodgement of persons who illegally moved into residential buildings and houses, in order to expeditiously accommodate refugees and displaced persons. Mr. Klickovic and RS minister for refugees and displaced persons, Ljubsa Vladisic, talked in Doboj with municipal authorities, Direction for Succession, Institute for Economics, and Association of Refugees, on the measures to be undertaken for more efficient housing refugees.

MOSCOW - The Russian defence minister Igor Rodjanov stated that NATO expansion eastwards is unacceptable without prior agreement of Russia and other states which are not Alliance members. "Firstly, we have to agree the structure, and then NATO expansion", stated Rodjanov at a press conference in Moscow, reminding journalists that "it is also an opinion shared by president Yeltzin".

BEOGRAD - The Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) is definitely a member of the opposition coalition called "Together", announced the former governor of the National Yugoslav Bank, Dragoslav Avramovic, after this afternoon's meeting with the president of Democratic Party (DS) and DSS, Zoran Djindjic and Vojislav Kostunica.

MOSTAR - Muslim policemen stopped a vehicle with Zagreb license plate, in the vicinity of Mostar, and harassed passengers - Croats, Mirko and Predrag Lucic, from Kiseljak - reports the Croatian Radio Herzeg-Bosnia.
