ANKARA - A decree proposing to appoint Democratic Left Party (DSP)
Istanbul deputy Masum Turker to replace Kemal Dervis who announced his
resignation on Saturday morning was sent to the Presidency.

ANKARA - Thirty year old female inmate, Fatma Bilgin lost her life on
Saturday at Ankara Numune Hospital where she was being treated because
of death fasting.

status to languages and dialects spoken by Turkish citizens

social texture and national unity of the country.

ANKARA /VAN - Commenting on the resignation of State Minister Kemal
Dervis, Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB)
Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu said that his resignation was expected
and it wouldn't affect the economy.

ANKARA - State Minister Kemal Dervis has said that he was working to
remove the political dividedness of Turkish politics and he was told by
Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit that having these efforts and staying in
the government contradicted with each other.
