ISTANBUL/ANKARA - Foreign Capital Association (YASED) sent a letter to
ambassadors of European Union (EU) member countries to Turkey on
Thursday.

HATAY WHEN SYRIAN DAM COLLAPSED IN JUNE
ANKARA - ANKARA (A.A) - Foreign Minister Sukru Sina Gurel has said that
the Turkish government would ask for compansation from Syria for the
damage that was caused in Hatay when Syria's Zeezon Dam collapsed
causing a flood in Asi River last June.

comments that a military force comprised of 5 thousand people had been
deployed in Northern Iraq and that an airport in the region was

Southeastern Anatolian Project (GAP) region to the countries of the
European Union (EU) in the first seven months of 2002 decreased 12.5
percent to 91 million 846 thousand U.S. dollars

ANKARA - Security General Directorate Spokesman and Deputy Director
General of Security Feyzullah Arslan said on Friday that the situation
of people who were wanted by red bulletin was reviewed because of the
abolishment of death penalty except for the ''crimes committed in times
of war and situations of imminent war''.

ANKARA - State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Friday the
number of unemployed people in Turkey as 2,217,000 according to the
2002 second quarter temporary results
