    ANKARA - Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit received Chairman of a Jewish association B'nai B'rith International Chairman Richard Heideman on Friday afternoon.

    [02] JAPANESE LOAN OFFERED TO TURKEY WITH FAVOURABLE TERMS

    ISTANBUL - Treasury Deputy Undersecretary Aydin Karaoz has said that the credit that is taken from the Japanese government for the fortification of bridges and viaducts in Marmara region will be deferred for ten years and thereafter payment will be made over a 40-year period with a 0.95 percent interest rate.

    ISTANBUL - The Turkish government signed Friday a credit agreement of 12 billion 22 million Japanese Yen (about 100 million USD) with Japan for the project to seismic fortification of Bogazici (Bosphorus), Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Halic (Golden Horn) bridges and viaducts on the connection roads in Turkey's Marmara region.
