    BERLIN - True Path Party (DYP) leader Tansu Ciller said that economy was Turkey's major issue on the road to the EU during her meeting with former German Prime Minister Helmut Kohl in Berlin on Thursday.

    ANKARA - Foreign Ministry Spokesman Huseyin Dirioz has stated that the European Security and Defense Polity (ESDP) was an issue that needs to be resolved between NATO and the EU and he added that Turkey would not use the ESDP matter to solve its problems with any EU country or as a negotiation element for its EU membership.
