"Do You Wanna Dance?" is a movie that combines wonderful, heartfelt storytelling with dazzling dance sequences and stirring original music (including a love ballad from Academy Award nominees Jud Friedman and Allan Rich).

If you're like a lot of movie-goers today and have grown tired of going to movies that have endless explosions, constant violence, gratuitous sex, non-stop profanity, and no story line, then "Do You Wanna Dance?" is a movie you?re going to love. It's a movie you can watch with children, and grandparents and all will be entertained.

The movie which is based on the real life friendship between Robert Krantz and Father Chris Kerhulas, the pastor of St. Basil Greek Orthodox church in Chicago is about BILLY DUNCAN, a dance instructor who has fallen on hard times; first he loses his wildly popular dance studio, then he finds himself on the wrong side of the law. He's given an ultimatum by the Judge; go to jail or serve 500 hours of community service in Chicago's Greektown.

BILLY arrives in Greektown, and soon discovers he has to complete his community service under the supervision of FATHER CHRIS, a Greek Orthodox priest. BILLY is to teach dance to FATHER CHRIS's elderly parishioners who are in need of a little exercise... not exactly what Billy had in mind. BILLY balks at first, but is won over by FATHER CHRIS, who turns out to be surprisingly unconventional, a diehard hockey fan as likely to practice slap shots on the front porch as he is to wear cologne to impress the nurses on his regular hospital visits.

As BILLY faces the challenge of teaching dance to a community uncomfortable with outsiders, especially ones who can't pronounce 'gyro' correctly, FATHER CHRIS begins to inspire him to rebuild his confidence as a dancer and to take a chance on love with ALEXIA, the daughter of a wealthy parishioner.

BILLY finds his strength in dancing again, but only after learning the dances of his elderly students' generation and culture. When the president of the church board labels BILLY a troublemaker, FATHER CHRIS is himself stirred to perform an act of genuine integrity on BILLY's behalf. Through the remarkable friendship of this offbeat priest, BILLY finally regains his faith in life, his personal dream, and once again taking a chance on love.
