The objective of the conference is to build a conceptual framework for
understanding the complex phenomena that generate the interplay between
Turkey's domestic and foreign policy and the international relations that
impact upon that foreign policy by bringing together panels of experts
within four issue areas: military security, economic growth and strategic
resources, the international dimension of human rights and civil society,
and contending visions of Turkey's role in the world.
