This will be the second year that the Hellenic Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal will be recognizing outstanding university graduates of Hellenic descent. The awards are intended for those having graduated or graduating in the 1995-96 academic year from one of the 4 Montreal-area universities and have at least one parent of Greek origin. The award not only recognizes academic achievement but extra-curricular activities and contributions to the community at large.

There will be at least 3 awards of $1000 each and a number of other awards as well.

The awards dinner will also be an opportunity for members of the business community and graduates to meet. The keynote speaker at the dinner will be former Massachusetts Governor and Presidential hopeful MICHAEL S. DUKAKIS.


To apply:

1. On a sheet of paper, write your name, address, telephone number, mother's maiden name, university, programme of study and graduation date.

2. Include a university transcript, a non-official is acceptable.

3. Include a CV listing extra-curricular activities and work experience.

Once all the above has been done you may send the documents by Fax to 681-4504 or by mail to:

Deadline for submissions is September 30, 1996.

All applicants will be able to attend the dinner as guests of the Hellenic Board of Trade.

Tickets for the dinner are $25 for students and $75 for all others.

The proceeds from the event will go towards the Board's scholarship fund.

The date of the dinner is Friday, November 8, 1996 @ 7 pm at Le Chateau Reception Hall in Laval, Quebec.
