[02] SYN's Parliamentary Group Holds Sitting

SYRIZA's (Coalition of the Radical Left) Parliamentary Group held Monday a sitting. Touching on the results of the European elections, the Group's head, Alekos Alavanos, stressed that the party needs to make serious efforts to reestablish its relation with the people. Commenting on his relations with Alexis Tsipras, he said that the Left should keep clear of leader-oriented models.

âI haven't decided whether I regretted or not, but we have to see everything from scratch,â underlined the head of SYRIZA's Parliamentary Group when asked if he has regretted offering his back to Alexis Tsipras. Drilled whether SYRIZA will take part in the general elections with Alexis Tsipras at the party's helm, Alavanos said he is primarily concerned on how to give people hope.

SYRIZA went through a minor tremor, said Alavanos when referring to the election results, further adding that there are aftershocks that do not last long.

SYRIZA, said he, should focus on regaining the society's approval and support.

Asked whether he would step down, Alavanos said no.
