    The Prosecutor, who is investigating Messrs Efraim and Arsenios' refusal to testify before the Inquiry Committee, has summoned the two monks to testify as suspects. As per their lawyers, they will ask of an extension of their deadline. Yesterday, former government spokesman Theodoros Roussopoulos denied his involvement in the case, describing his colleagues' actions legal. Meanwhile, PASOK insists that as fresh evidence has arisen and Examining Committee should be set up. At the same time, the Cyprus Ministry of Justice will be requested today to open the bank accounts of Rasadel and Madeous companies.

    On a relative development, notary Aikaterini Peleki stated that on the occasion of the Vatopedi monastery accounts and in relation to the sums deposited to her, they concerned notarial rights and copy duties.This money had been paid to the Notary Association, the Lawyers and Notaries' Funds, as well as to the national registry, as dictated by law.

    Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 In cooperation with UNISEF, ERT the national broadcaster is organizing a telethon in support of children who are hungry or are undernourished across the world. The telethon will be aired from ET 1 at 16:00 on Monday 8 December.

    UNISEF's Greek National Committee presented at a Press Conference the big telethon that will take place on Monday 8 December in cooperation with ET 1 and with the participation of dozens of private radio and TV stations in support of children who are hungry and are undernourished all over the world. During the Press Conference, the President of UNISEF's Greek Committee Lambros Kanellopoulos presented numbers on the children who are hungry all over the world, as well as the organisation's initiatives.

    Every night 300,000 children all over the world go to be hungry.

    148 million children are underweight.

    20 million children under five suffer of acute undernourishment.
