[02] Seven killed in Jerusalem by suicide bomber

The attack - at the beginning of the Israeli working week - came just hours after the highest level talks between Israeli and Palestinian leaders in more than two years.

A second suicide bomber blew himself up near Aram, an Arab community of the eastern part of annexed Jerusalem. This attack resulted only to the death of the suicide bomber.

Earlier, one more suicide bomber blew himself off in Hebron, killing a couple and later two armed Palestinians tried to penetrate a Jewish settlement, but were killed by Israeli soldiers.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has delayed leaving the country for a scheduled meeting with President George W Bush in Washington.

And the Israeli security cabinet was meeting on Sunday to discuss further responses to the attacks.

Mr Sharon held his first official meeting with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas, better known as Abu Mazen, on Saturday night.

The talks, which focused on security, were inconclusive but correspondents say the mere fact that the two men met was a step forward.

Meanwhile, no organisation has assumed responsibility for yesterday's suicide attacks in Casablanca, which resulted in the death of 41 people, among whom some were foreign nationals. Additionally, 400 people were injured.

At the same time, the Moroccan police arrested 33 Islamists yesterday, charging them with the participation in suicide attacks, which according to the Interior Minister 14 suicide bombers carried them out.

Finally, American President George W. Bush offered his help to Morocco in discovering those responsible for the attacks.
