Additionally, according to the newspaper 'Ta Nea', those who will be given priority to work as part time employees will be 35 year olds, unemployed who are close to getting their pension and long term unemployed. (5/5/2003 12:05:00 μμ) [03] Greeks satisfied with Greek EU PresidencyAccording to a research conducted by 'Metron Analysis' on behalf of the Foreign Ministry, 80% of the Greeks judged the Greek EU Presidency positively, while 90% consider Cyprus' accession to the European Union an important development. The research was conducted from 18 to 22 April.Additionally, the European Union Summit Meeting in Greece regarding EU enlargement was described as very positive by the public opinion. According to 'Eleftherotipia' newspaper, 86.4% described the organization of the Summit Meeting positive, while only 7.4% described it in a negative way. Regarding Cyprus' accession to the European Union, 56.6% considers it an important development and 33.6% consider it the most important development since Greece became a European Union member. Additionally, 80.5% believes that now there are more hopes for the resolution of the Cyprus issue. Finally, Press spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Panayiotis Beglitis told NET 105.8 that the Greek foreign policy enjoys the trust of the Greek people, adding that it had been acknowledged by the European Union, the United States and also internationally as a factor of stability and security.
