[05] U.N special envoy said Cyprus issue solution in six monthsU.N special envoy on Cyprus, Alvaro de Sotto expressed optimism that the Cyprus issue would be resolved in six months.Commenting on the recent developments, Greek Foreign Minister, George Papandreou said that we should be optimistic but realistic as well.Direct talks between Cyprus President Galfkos Klerides and Turkish-Cypriot representative raulf Dektash, which bebegin in January have become the focus of interest. The Pasok and ND parties only voted in favour of an amendment which provides for the hiring in prefectures and state offices of deputies assistants who served in one or more deputy offices for two years even not continously-from 1994 to the present.
