[01] ASE opening: Rise

Individual sector indices were moving mostly upward, with the biggest gains in Food & Beverage, up 2.28 percent; Chemicals, up 1.56 percent; and Banks, up 1.52 percent.

The biggest losses were in Travel & Recreation, down 1.09 percent; Telecoms, down 1.02 percent; and Technology, down 0.07 percent.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.63 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.77 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.75 percent.

Of the stocks moved, 50 were up, 11 were down, and 22 were unchanged.
