[01] La Commission autorise l'acquisition d'AMB, de GPA et de Proxima par
Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A.
La Commission européenne a autorisé l'acquisition de la société allemande
Aachener und Münchener Beteiligungsgesellschaft (AMB), ainsi que des
filiales du groupe français Athéna Assurance, GPA (Vie et IARD) et Proxima,
par la compagnie d'assurance italienne Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A.
(Generali). La Commission a constaté que l'opération ne conduira pas à des
parts de marché combinées supérieures à 15% en Allemagne et en Belgique, où
Generali et AMB sont présents, ni en France, où Generali, GPA et Proxima
sont simultanément présents. En outre, dans chacun de ces trois Etats
membres, des concurrents internationaux détenant des parts de marché
supérieures ou comparables sont également actifs. La Commission a en
conséquence conclu que la concentration ne soulève pas de doutes sérieux et
l'a déclarée compatible avec le marché commun.
[02] Commission clears takeover of Royal Nederland Verzekeringsgroep by
Assurances Générales de France
The European Commission has given its approval to a concentration by which
the French insurance company "Assurances Générales de France" (AGF) takes
over the Dutch insurer "Royal Nederland Verzekeringsgroep N.V." (RN). The
concentration concerns life and non-life insurance. The parties have
overlapping activities exclusively in the Netherlands in life insurance and
in some segments of non-life insurance. But there are no affected markets
in the Netherlands nor are there any significant effects on markets outside
of the Netherlands.
