    LUXEMBOURG - The Social Affairs Council on Thursday shelved indefinitely a proposal to clarify EU law on job quotas for women.

    MAASTRICHT - Dutch Development Cooperation Minister Jan Pronk hosts a meeting of development ministers from the EU and African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries to discuss the future of the Lome convention, which lays down the political, trade and aid relations between the two sides (Friday-Saturday).
