    BRUSSELS - European Fisheries Commissioner Emma Bonino, facing a fierce fight over plans to combat chronic overfishing, said on Thursday that catches, not boats or jobs, would be cut by up to 40 percent over six years.

    BRUSSELS - The European Commission said on Thursday it had cleared the acquisition of Swiss-based Immuno International AG by Baxter International of the United States.
