Altinbilek said this system was maybe the first one in the world adding that the Norwegian company, which carries out water transportation, made several changes in trailers but the transportation will be re-started regularly soon.

Altibilek said a new balloon will come by the end of December and the transportation process will be made with three 20,000 cubic meters balloons.

Briefing about a project to transport water with pipes that will be planted under water, Altinbilek said Alarko, the related company, is having feasibility studies.

Altinbilek also pointed out that Manavgat water, which is identified as ``peace water'' was ready for sale adding that this sale was announced both within Turkey and abroad.

He said no agreement was made so far to this end adding that ``many countries are interested in Manavgat water. This water may go to Coasts of the Mediterranean.

Peace water may go to Libya, Palestine, Jordan, Israel, the Greek Cypriot side, and the TRNC''.

[02] OZGUR: ``HAVING A CYPRUS PASSPORT IS THE TURKISH CYPRIOTS’ RIGHT''

According to KIBRIS (3/12/98), the so-called Nicosia deputy of the Patriotic Union Movement, Ozker Ozgur, has declared that acquiring a Republic of Cyprus passport is the right of Turkish Cypriots. In a statement to KIBRIS, Ozgur said that he favours Turkish Cypriots to exercise their rights stipulated by the 1960 Treaties. He said: ``The Turkish Cypriots have rights stipulated under the 1960 Treaties. These rights are in accordance with international law. Any Turkish Cypriot can exercise this right. It will not be fair to condemn Turkish Cypriots for exercising their right. My views as regards the passports are along this line.'' (MY)
