Cyprus government expressed yesterday its firm opposition to terrorism and all forms of religious fanaticism.

Government Spokesman Mr. Michalis Papapetrou said that «the Cyprus government strongly condemns the terrorist act in Dagestan which has resulted in the death and injury of dozens of innocent people. The Cyprus government would like to stress once more that it flatly condemns religious fanaticism in whatever form as well as any secessionist action and unreservedly supports the maintenance of the territorial integrity of the Russian federation», he added.
