[01] Cyprus committed to cooperation with ASEAN
Cyprus is willing to promote cooperation within the EU-ASEAN collaboration
on maritime issues, Cypriot Ambassador to ASEAN (Association of
South East Asian Nations) Nikos Panagi has told the Association's new
Secretary-General Le Luong Minh.
During A meeting, Panagi congratulated Minh on his appointment to the
post of ASEAN Secretary General as of January this year and briefed him
on development in the Cyprus problem and the energy sector.
Minh expressed the hope that the Cyprus problem will be resolved through
a comprehensives settlement, based on the relevant Security Council
resolutions for the benefit of peace and stability in the region.
