[01] School of Molecular Medicine to open its gates September

It will offer four postgraduate programs in MSc Medical Genetics, PhD Medical Genetics, MSc Molecular Medicine and PhD Molecular Medicine.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, the Chief Executive Medical Director of the Cyprus Institute, Director of the CSMM Professor Philippos Patsalis said that the establishment of the CSMM constitutes the greatest development for the Institute since its foundation in the 1990’s.

He also said that the School will attract both local and foreign students, adding that the benefits for the Institute and the society in general are huge.

Professor Patsalis added that for the academic year 2012-2013, students have enrolled in the programs of Medical Genetics and Molecular Medicine in both Masters and PhD levels.

According to Patsalis, the School is open to students with research interests applicable to the CING activities in the areas of neurology, genetics, biomedical, medical and other similar or related sciences.
