The positions which the Turkish Cypriot leadership now supports are
more distant, even further away from what was agreed as a framework for
a Cyprus settlement, Minister of Foreign Affairs George Lillikas said
before departing for a working visit to Germany at the invitation of
his German counterpart.
Commenting on the formation of a new so called government in the
Turkish occupied areas of Cyprus, Lillikas said that ``what counts for
us is not the people who are leading the Turkish Cypriot community but
the positions they express and whether their stance serves the efforts
for the reunification of Cyprus or trends and actions leading to
Cyprus` division.``
Referring to his trip, Lillikas said he will meet his counterpart,
