Parties and MP merge to form European Party

Nicosia, Jun 1 (CNA) - Two political parties, namely New Horizons and European Democracy, as well as an independent MP, announced today that they have joined forces and that their new formation will be called European Party.

The name of the new party was announced by the two parties' leaderships at a meeting of registered members.

Hellenic Bank's new Board elects leadership

Nicosia, Jun 1 (CNA) - Former Minister of the Interior Andreas Panayiotou has been elected President of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Bank, replacing departing President Panos Galanos.

According to a press release, former Minister of Labour and Social Insurance Andreas Moushouttas has been elected Vice-President of the Board.
