    GDP to grow in next two years in Cyprus to 4%, says Commission

    Nicosia, Apr 4 (CNA) The European Commission said the GDP growth for Cyprus in the 2005 and 2006 is estimated to be around 4 percent.

    Åconomic forecasts for spring 2005 issued today by the Commission project a continuing modest recovery in export growth in the next two years in tourism and even more in non-tourism services.

    Cyprus receives assurances for support from Egypt, says Minister

    Larnaca, Apr 4 (CNA) Cyprus Finance Minister Makis Keravnos received assurances over the firm support of the people of Egypt in finding a just, functional and viable solution to the Cyprus problem.

    Speaking after his three day official visit to Egypt at the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali, Keravnos said that Egypt will continue to support Cyprus President's efforts to develop initiatives to reunite the country.

    He said he was assured that Egypt will cotninue to support a just, viable and functional solution to the Cyprus problem, based on UN resolutions.
