    INFORCE chief executive sees ''real commitment'' from both sides

    Nicosia, Oct 26 (CNA) -- The Greek and the Turkish Cypriot sides have displayed ''real commitment'' to make headway and help resolve the humanitarian issue of missing persons, Margaret Cox, chief executive and founder of the non profit forensic science organization INFORCE, set to carry out exhumations of remains in Cyprus, believed to belong to Greek and Turkish Cypriot missing persons.

    Costa Rica notes Cyprus' development despite difficulties

    Nicosia, Oct 26 (CNA) - Costa Rica has been following the events in Cyprus and acknowledges ''the high development obtained in recent years, in spite of the economic difficulties and others, which it has had to go through,'' Costa Rica's new Ambassador to Cyprus Manuel Hernadez Gutierrez said today, presenting his credentials to President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos.

    Nicosia, Oct 26 (CNA) - India ''understands the democratic choice exercised by the people of Cyprus in the April referendum'' on a UN plan for a Cyprus settlement, which the Greek Cypriot community rejected, new Ambassador of India Neelam D. Sabharwal assured today, presenting her credentials to President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos.

    Cyprus President says last April's referenda not the end of the way

    Nicosia, Oct 26 (CNA)-Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos stressed here today that last April's referenda on a Cyprus settlement was not the end of the way for Cyprus.

    Papadopoulos was speaking at a formal ceremony at the Presidential Palace the credentials of the new Ambassador of Thailand, stationed in Rome, Mr Vara-Poj Sndvongs, who praised the long-standing relations between the two countries.

    Cypriot President reiterates commitment to a Cyprus settlement

    Nicosia, Oct 26 (CNA) - Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos reiterated here today his commitment to a bi-zonal bi-communal federation on the basis of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan's plan for a Cyprus settlement, that would address the legitimate concerns of the Greek Cypriots without necessarily depriving the Turkish Cypriots benefits provided to them by the plan.
