Stefanopoulos hosts state banquet for Papadopoulos

Athens, Nov 25 (CNA) -- Greek President Kostantinos Stefanopoulos and Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos exchanged warm words of support and solidarity as they attended tonight a state banquet Stefanopoulos hosted for the visiting President, on a three-day official visit here.

President Stefanopoulos said this is not the time to review the past but to make a proper assessment of the present and take the right decisions for the future ahead of developments that will take place.

President Papadopoulos referred to the great landmark date of May next year when Cyprus will join the European Union and said this has been achieved with the unwavering support of Greece.
