    Nicosia, Nov 24 (CNA) --

    Tuesday and Wednesday: 25/11/2003 to 26/11/2003 ----------------------------------------------- Weather: On Tuesday morning the weather will be locally partly cloudy with probability of showers improving later. On Wednesday the weather will be mainly fine with patchy cloud.

    Wind: Easterly and Nearly moderate to fresh becoming gentle locally up to moderate.

    State of Sea: On Tuesday moderate locally up to rough, but on Wednesday slight locally up to moderate.

    Temperature: Maximum temperature 21 C inland and over coast and 11 C over mountains. Minimum temperature 10 C inland, 12 to 14 C over coastal areas and 6 C over mountains.

    Outlook for Thursday and Friday: 27/11/2003 to 28/11/2003 --------------------------------------------------------- On Thursday the weather will be mainly fine and the temperature will increase slightly. On Friday the weather will become partly cloudy with probability of isolated showers in the afternoon. The temperature is not expected to note any significant change.

    Seminar on EU copyright protection takes place

    Nicosia, Nov 24 (CNA)--Journalists and other professionals had the opportunity to be informed about EU laws and regulations on copyright and content protection during a seminar entitled ''Copyright and content protection in the EU'', organised here today by the British High Commission, the British Council and the Cyprus News Agency.

    Addressing the seminar, Interior Minister Andreas Christou expressed his government's determination to protect copyright and pledged that Cyprus will harmonize its relevant legislation with EU Directive 2001/29/EC by May 2004, when it becomes a fully-fledged EU member.

    President leaves on official visit to Greece

    Nicosia, Nov 24 (CNA) -- President Tassos Papadopoulos departs tomorrow morning for Greece to pay an official three - day visit, at the invitation of Greek Republic President Costis Stefanopoulos.

    On the day of his arrival President Papadopoulos will have talks with Greek President Stefanopoulos and on November 26 he will meet Greek Premier Costas Simitis.

    The President will be accompanied by First Lady Fotini, Foreign Minister Giorgos Iacovou, Undersecretary to the President Christodoulos Pashiardis, Government Spokesman Kypros Chrisostomides, and Director of the President's Diplomatic Office Tasos Tzionis.
