Addressing a press conference at the end of their four-day meeting in Cyprus, which they described as "very satisfactory", they reiterated their call for a stronger overseas service and the need to organize overseas Cypriots in order to mobilize them on the Cyprus problem. In a resolution it adopted the World Conference of Overseas Cypriot Youth, that was held also here this week, called for a solution to the Cyprus problem, which would provide for an ascertainment of the fate of the missing, the return of the refugees to their homes and the freedom of movement, settlement and property on the island. They also pointed out that the unacceptable positions of Ankara and Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash for recognition of two separate "sovereign states" and confederation are contrary to principles of international law, the UN Charter, UN resolutions on Cyprus and the High Level Agreements, stressing that they should be outright rejected by the UN. In a statement, it said that as of September 1 the export of funds for direct investments abroad by residents of Cyprus, which have been free of restrictions regarding the country, sector or amount since 7 January 2000, can be effected through commercial banks without reference to the Central Bank.
