    [01] Bank of Cyprus - Australia - Five branches

    Nicosia, Apr 2 (CNA) - The Bank of Cyprus, one of the island's oldest financial institutions, has opened five branches in Australia, making it the first Greek or Cypriot bank to have full operations in this country with over half a million people of Greek origin.

    According to a press release, Bank of Cyprus Australia Ltd last month opened branches in Melbourne, where the administration offices are also based, as well as Sydney and Adelaide.

    [03] Cyprus - Danish MPs - Meetings

    Nicosia, Apr 2 (CNA) – House of Representatives President Spyros Kyprianou today briefed the president and members of the European Affairs Committee of the Danish Parliament on the present phase in the Cyprus peace effort and the Republic's European Union accession course, during a meeting in Nicosia.

    The 10-member inter-party Danish delegation, on an official two-day visit, was also briefed by Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides and the Republic's chief negotiator in the accession talks with the EU George Vassiliou.
