1720:CYPPRESS:01[01] Missing Persons - Exhumation processby Maria Myles Nicosia, Jan 10 (CNA) - As more identifications of exhumed remains are expected to be announced early this year through the combined work of two scientific teams of experts from the US-based Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) and the Cyprus Institute of Genetics and Neurology, work is well underway for the preparation of the list of Greek Cypriots and Greek nationals, killed during or as a result of the military coup and the Turkish invasion that followed in the summer of 1974, that has left the country divided.This week, the PHR anthropologist who led the team of scientists exhuming and examining remains from two Nicosia cemeteries, Dr William Haglund, returns to the island to carry the work forward in conjunction with the Institute experts and the government working group for the exhumations.
