Nicosia, Sep 17 (CNA) -- Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides believes that
the US is determined this time round to act in a more determined manner to
try and bow Turkish intransigence and open the way for peace talks.
The Cypriot President also said the problem lies in applying some
pressure levers the US has on the Turkish side to shift Ankara from its
intransigent positions and added that he expects to get a UN invitation to
talks in the second half of October.
