NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA - The president of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ Dragan Kalinic convoked for Monday June 15 in Banja Luka with the beginning at 11,00 h the Sixth session of the parliament, at which, as expected, the representatives of the Coalition for B&H and Social- democratic Party of B&H will insist on issue of the legitimacy of Presidency of National Assembly of RS. At the Proposal of Agenda of the Sixth assembly session is 29 items, and delegates should urgently consider the proposals of the law on internal jobs and intelligence-security service of RS, which were not discussed at the previous session, because the RS Government, after the delegates from FB&H have left the session, withdrawn all proposed laws from Agenda.

ATHENS - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic is going to visit Greece called by the three European delegates, founders of the humanitarian organisation the Greek solidarity Caravan, Alekos Alvanos, Aiverinos Paraskeva and Panajotis Lavri. The president will meet with the high political leadership of Greece, president of the state Kostis Stefanopulos, premier Kostas Simitis, president of Parliament Apostolos Katlamanis, chief of diplomacy Theodoros Katlamanis, arch-priest of Greek Orthodox Church Christodolos.

PRISTINA - In the region of Kosmet yesterday was peaceful - stated the media centre in Pristina according to data of MUP of Serbia. In the region between Decani and Djakovica, where Albanian terrorists last days performed numerous attacks against civilians, army and police, according to the official reports of local authorities yesterday there were no incidents.

VIENNA - The Austrian counsellor Victor Klima do not exclude the possibility that Austria participate in eventual military operations of NATO at Kosovo and Metohija under the mandate of UN Security Council. In the statement for Vienna daily "Courier" Klima has explained that "in the international military actions under the mandate of UN for solving the crisis at Kosmet after the detailed considering the Austrian army could participate in the sectors of logistics and transport". The Austrian chancellor do not see any obstacles in the fact that in efforts for stopping violence in Kosovo NATO again would have the leading role.

PRISTINA - One policeman was killed, and one wounded in the attack of the Albanian terrorists on the patrol of MUP of Serbia in the place Rakovica near Djakovica - learns SRNA from the representatives of the local authorities in Djakovica. According to the information which SRNA correspondent has got from the representatives of the local authorities in Decani, terrorists also in this area again provoke the police patrols.

DERVENTA - His Holy Highness bishop Zvornicko-tuzlanski Vasilije sent a message from Bosanski Luzani near Derventa that "Serbs should never renounce Bosnia, because Bosnia was always Serbian land". "If we renounce Bosnia we should renounce the greatest Serbian metropolitan seat, dabro- bosanska, founded by St. Sava" - said the bishop Vasilije.

SKOPJE - The air military manoeuvres of NATO instead of today will be held tomorrow between 08.00 and 12,00 h in the territory of Macedonia and Albania - stated the secretary general of North Atlantic Alliance Javier Solana. The command of NATO demanded and has got the permission of Macedonia for air military manoeuvres on its territory. Having in mind that it is the direct interest of our state, the Government has decided to approve the air military exercises - stated the premier of Macedonia Branko Crvenkovski.

ZAGREB - The minister of Foreign Affairs of Croatia Mate Granic stated yesterday at one gathering in Zagreb that his government will next week sent to FR Yugoslavia the proposal for solving the dispute about Prevlaka - write the Belgrade's "Vecernje Novosti" /the evening news/. According to Granic's idea Prevlaka would be a Croatian territory, demilitarised by Croatia, and afterwards strengthen the inter-state borders.

ROME - The UN Secretary General Koffi Annan will open tomorrow in Rome the Conference about founding permanent international court for war crimes, in which work will participate the representatives of more than 100 UN members states - reports DPA. As was announced, the Conference will last until July 17, and in the first part of its work will participate the ministers of foreign affairs and justice and national experts in the filed of justice. As expected, the pattern for forming the future court should be the International Court for War crimes committed in the region of former Yugoslavia and Rwuanda, in Hague.

SARAJEVO - Croats from the settlement Donja Vecerska, near Vitez, embittered because of killing the policeman in Travnik, prevented yesterday the return of the greater group of Moslems in this settlement - reports the Moslem radio in Sarajevo and Croatian radio. The same sources claims that the group of 150 Croats, mainly women and children, have stopped the column of tractors and cars with Moslem returnees on the road towards DOnja Vecerska, near the military barracks of the Croatian Council of Defence. The incident of wider extent was prevented by the members of SFOR and IPTF, because previously called unit, allegedly joint Moslem -Croatian police from Vitez, instead of easing passions was divided on the national basis.

MOSTAR - The workers of the Moslem nationality who remained without job in Mostar enterprises Soko and Aluminium combine Mostar have established the syndicate organisation in order to fight for the return on their jobs and realise their work rights, as they stress, they were deprived with purely on the national basis. According to the reports of Moslem media in FB&H, during the war from these two collectives, which are on the territory under the Croatian control, was sacked more thousands of Moslem workers.

BANJA LUKA - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic, at the Banja Luka's Airport Mahovljani before leaving for Greece expressed the hope that the more days visit to this friendly country and talks with the state leadership about the relations between two states, situation in RS, its postwar reconstruction and development and assistance to the Greece will be very successful. "Already longer time we have no contacts with Greece although we were keeping them during the war times at the level of Association of Greek-Serbian friendship and humanitarian organisation" - stressed the president of RS.

SIPOVO - The president of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /NSRS/ Dragan Kalinic expressed the hope in Sipovo that the Serbian delegates at the tomorrow's fifth session of the parliament will avoid the trap which is tried to be made for them and in the new and for people encouraging way show the unity. "In the air is the major answer - the possibility of replacement of the Assembly leadership and election of new one, in accordance with, as the supporters of that idea claim, electoral results", said Kalinic for SRNA.

PRISTINA - Five Yugoslavian soldiers were wounded in the attack of Albanian terrorists on the convoy with food of Yugoslavian Army /AY/ near the place Crnoljevo, on the road Pristina- Prizren. According to the chief of the Surgery clinic in Pristina Andrija Tomanovic wounded soldiers were provided with the medical care in this hospital.

PRISTINA - In the attack of the Albanian terrorists on the patrol of MUP of Serbia in the settlement Rakovica near Djakovica the policeman Dragan Stamenkovic /1964/ was killed, and Nebojsa Vukojcic /1959/ was hardly wounded, but out of life danger - was announced by the lieutenant colonel of Serbian MUP Novica Zdravkovic. At the press conference in Media Centre in Pristina he stated that in the attack of Albanian terrorists on the members of Serbian police from the direction of Drenovac around 12,00 h one policeman was killed, and another wounded seriously.
