SARAJEVO - In the building of the Central Bank of B&H in federal part of Sarajevo started with work three days Conference about the payment system, which organisation sponsors the U.S. agency for international development /USAID/. In the public announcement of the Central Bank of B&H is stated that the main objective of the Conference is considering the function and the role of central and commercial banks in modern payment system, which should support the private sector and commercially oriented economy.

PRISTINA - The Albanian terrorists killed on May 31 in Drenica village Poklek, near Glogovac, twenty five years old policeman Tomislav Fatic. The terrorists shot at policeman with machine guns and snipers from ambush. In the attack of Albanian terrorists at the police patrol in the vicinity of Decani, the policeman Dusan Urosevic was hardly wounded, while the policemen Slavko Tomasevic and Dragan Stojanac were lightly wounded. The surgeons of the Surgeon Clinic in Pristina are fighting for life of policeman Urosevic.

PODGORICA - The Republican Electoral Commission /REC/ stated in early morning hours that out of 249,032 voters, or 72,77% of electorate, for the Joint list "To live better" - Milo Djukanovic voted 50,43% of voters, while for Socialistic People's Party /SPP/ of Momir Bulatovic voted 34,38% of citizens. At the third place is Liberal Union of Montenegro of SLavko Perovic with 6,3% of votes, which guarantee to this party the sure entering into the Assembly of Montenegro, Serbian People's Party Bozidar Bojovic has won 1,98%, and Democratic Union of ALbanians in Montenegro - Mehmed Bardhi 1,97% of votes.

PODGORICA - The members of the special units of MUP /Internal Ministry/ of Montenegro released on May 31 at 21,30 h, all access paths to the Electoral Headquarters of SNP, which they blocked at 19,00 h. As reports SRNA correspondent from the spot, in front of that house is at the moment the leader of the party and federal premier Momir BUlatovic, and there are also several thousands affiliates and members of this party.

BANJA LUKA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic received in Banja Luka in the farewell visit the chief of European Commission Donato Chiarini, who is finishing the mission in B&H. Chiarini stated after the meeting that he availed himself of the opportunity to talk president Plavsic about numerous investments of international community in eastern part of RS and following September's elections.

JAGODINA - The president in Presidency of B&H from RS Momcilo Krajisnik assessed that for RS now there is only the dilemma between sovereignty, which is permitted by the Dayton Agreement, and money. "In this moment in front of us is the simple choice: whether to choose sovereign RS or money. Both we cannot get", said Krajisnik in the interview for Jagodina TV Palma +, last night. He assessed that "unfortunately the resources of international community could be obtained only on account of concessions related to the sovereignty of RS".

SERBIAN GORAZDE - In the framework of visit of delegation of RS Government to the municipalities of upper Podrinje, premier Milorad Dodik solemnly has put into operation the Energopetrol's gas station in Ustipraca, near Serbian Gorazde. In the name of investor the assembled citizens and guests greeted the director of Energopetrol business centre in Serbian Sarajevo Dusko Bogdanovic and on behalf of municipal assembly of Serbian GOrazde the president Slavko Topalovic.

BANJA LUKA - The vice-president of RS Government Tihomir Gligoric signed in Banja Luka with the current chief of European commission for B&H Donato Chiarini the Memorandum on understanding bout investment in projects in Eastern part of RS, in the amount of 2,5 millions of ECU. According to Gligoric, who signed this document in the name of Government of Milorad Dodik, Memorandum will be realised in cooperation with municipalities of Eastern part of RS, and is related, before all, with solving the problems of unemployment.

BANJA LUKA - The vice-president of RS Dragoljub Mirjanic assessed in Banja Luka that eight members delegation of University Banja Luka at conference in Graz in the best way represented this university and its future vision in the spirit of checked experiences of Western Europe and developed world. Mirjanic stressed in the statement for SRNA that the delegation from BAnja Luka at the consultations in Graz conveyed the clear stance that universities in RS cannot be considered out of overall status in these regions.

BIJELJINA - The vice-president of Serbian National Union Svetozar Mihajlovic stated in Bijeljina that the first item of the next sixth session of the National Assembly of RS most probably will be the issue of confidence for the current and election of new Assembly leadership. "The international representative for B&H Carlos Westendorp proclaimed the assembly leadership illegitimate because of non-passing the constitutional amendment for introducing the third post for vice-president of assembly" - stressed Mihajlovic.

BANJA LUKA - The president of Serbian Party of Krajina and Posavina Predrag Lazarevic confirmed in Banja Luka that the first Serbian Coalition for RS was formed, in which composition entered the Serbian Patriotic Party, Democratic Patriotic Party and People's Party. At the press conference he stressed that the objective of Coalition is creating the strong block of national parties with citizen's orientation and solving the national issue western from Drina river in the framework of Dayton Agreement.

SARAJEVO - The assistant of director in the Department of banking of the Main bank of RS of the Central Bank of B&H Djordje Rackovic confirmed for SRNA that the overall sum of convertible marks /CM/ - the official currency of B&H - is not strictly defined and that it will depend on the quantity of German marks and the height of donations and credits from abroad. "It is the principle of 'currency board', which means - how much of German marks for covering there is abroad so much CM will be on the market of B&H", stated Rackovic, adding that branches of the Serbian state bank for the first start needed 40,000,000 of CM.

BELGRADE - The secretary of the Federal Commission for providing aid for refugees in FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ at the general elections in B&H Vladimir Cucic stated for SRNA that all registering centres are opened in Serbia and Montenegro. "All centres are opened timely. According to the information which every day are coming from all parts of Serbia, there is no any problem during the registration of refugees" - added Cucic.

ROME - 18 officials and diplomats from B&H will participate at the course which will be held on June 2 -15 at the High University School "St. Ana", related to the Italian ministry of Foreign Affairs - writes Italian ANSA. "For the first time the representatives of all three peoples will participate together at one international seminar, which has the aim to explain to the participants the nature and legal structure of so called "ties skipping" - writes ANSA.

BELGRADE - The associate of the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade Ognjen Pribicevic thinks that there were no any doubt that at the parliamentary and local elections in Montenegro will win the party of Milo Djukanovic, but, as he said, the victory is "more persuasive than expected". "The success of Djukanovic is in accordance with the results of research of public opinion, but is slightly more persuasive than expected, to what contributed the act of Yugoslavian president by appointment Momir Bulatovic for the federal premier", said Pribicevic for SRNA.

BELGRADE - The political analyst of the Agency Bina Tomislav Kresovic assessed that the outcome of the early parliamentary elections in Montenegro will essentially be close to the results of presidential elections from September 1997. "No any political party will win the majority, and the decision about the composition of the new, firsts of all, coalition Government will bring the Liberal Union of Montenegro of Slavko Perovic", said Kresovic in the statement for SRNA.

NOVI SAD - The president of Provincial Board of Democratic Party of Vojvodina Predrag Filipov stated for SRNA in Novi Sad that the victory of Milo Djukanovic at the parliamentary elections in Montenegro will have the impact on coming elections in RS where will win the political option of Biljana Plavsic and Milorad Dodik. "The reforms and changes of president and premier of RS, which in many aspects improved the quality of life of citizens, are the guarantee of progress for Serbian people, as the victory of Coalition "To live better" shows the decisiveness of the president of Montenegro that in FRY govern the laws, and not the political will of presidential couple Milosevic- Markovic", stated Filipov.

SERBIAN GORAZDE - The premier of Republika Srpska /RS/ Milorad Dodik announced in Serbian Gorazde that the Government will in next period make more efforts for start-up of economic capacities in this municipality. Ha said that at the meeting of delegation of RS Government with economists and politicians of this municipality was agreed that on June 11 put in operation the Freezing plant and to invest into the factory of wire 260, 000 DEM because of eliminating technological problems. Dodik was in Rogatica, in the framework of visiting municipalities in Eastern parts of RS. He warned that we shall less lean on donations as well as that he municipalities shall have to solve their problems alone, investing in profitable firms. Dodik informed the representatives of the municipal authority, political parties and economy that they can count on full cooperation with Government and on its assistance, noting that "all cannot be solved". The Government will approve the foreign exchange currency resources which will be repaid in the same currency, explained premier of RS, noting that only in healthy economy will be invested. In the governmental delegation were the minister for information, defence, refugees, urbanism and construction, Rajko Vasic, Manojlo Milovanovic, Miladin Dragicevic and Jovo Basic.

ZAGREB - The premier of RS Milorad Dodik will visit Zagreb where with the representatives of Croatia he will sign the Protocol on two directional return of refugees, stated the chief of Croatian diplomacy Mate Granic. At the press conference he added that it was scheduled that the diplomats from RS and Croatia will talk about the problems of economic cooperation.

SARAJEVO - The decision of international representative for B&H Carlos Westendorp about joint registering plates and traffic licenses came into force, according to which the vehicles without these plates and licenses cannot pass the territory of RS and FB&H.

ZAGREB - The Croatian minister of Foreign Affairs Mate Granic rejected in Zagreb the accusations of co-presiding of the Council of Ministers of B&H Haris Silajdzic that Croatia by its way of cooperation with RS violates the Dayton Agreement provisions, reports the radio in federal part of Sarajevo.

BRCKO - The memorandum on understanding, by which is being regulated the status of 30 employees of Serbian nationality in municipal organs in Brcko who will remain without job because of applying the order of the supervisor RObert Farrand about the multi-ethnical administration. As the sign of protest the majority of employed has left the meeting, to which, besides the mayor Borko Reljic and president of the Municipal Syndicate Association Ilija Kalajdzic, attended also the supervisor Farrand and representatives of OSCE Office in Brcko.

BRATUNAC - The municipal Board of the Serbian Radical Party /OO SRS/ of Bratunac has determined at the session the candidates for delegates in National Assembly of RS and Presidential Home of Assembly of B&H. For the delegates in the National Assembly of RS will be nominated Vojin Ostojic and Zeljko Ivic - vicepresidents of municipal board of the party, the member of Executive board of SRS of RS and secretary of the board of party in Bratunac.

BRATUNAC - The president of municipal board of Bratunac Miladin Simic has talked with the representatives of OSCE about providing the accommodation for 20 Bosniak delegates of Bratunac municipality parliament and their eventual return into this town.

SIPOVO - In Sipovo was performed the replacement of SFOR units so in next six months in this region will be stationed the Regiment Light Dragon which commander is major Charlie Witteker. The task of this unit is the same as of previous units and is related with the unimpeded implementation of Dayton Agreement with the particular aspect on the return of Serbs into the municipality Serbian Kupres /Blagaj/, where the soldiers of this regiment have advanced position.

DOBOJ - The workers of the Railroads of RS have announced that on June 11 at 11,59 they will start the general strike if until then were not fulfilled their demands - was decided at the session of the Syndicate board of railroad workers of RS in Doboj.

SOKOLAC - The president of Government of Republika Srpska /RS/ Milorad Dodik stated in Sokolac that the Government is undertaking the concrete steps in economy, and as the key factors he sited the re-programming the debts of enterprises and decreasing the contributions. Dodik reminded that the law on privatisation was made and it is expected that already in June it will be proposed at the assembly for passing. The premier repeated that government has no intention to neglect any part of RS and that by the active policy of Government was taken off the mortgage from RS at the international factors that it should not be invested into the Eastern part of RS. He stated that several significant projects for the municipality Sokolac was contested also at the recently held Donor's Conference.

SARAJEVO - The members of the Presidency of B&H signed in federal part of Sarajevo with the emir of state Catar His Highness sheik Hamad Bin Kalif Altani the Agreement about economic, financial and technical cooperation and Agreement about the protection and promotion of joint interests. As announced to reporters after the meeting, the members of the Presidency of B&H informed the Catar emir about the course of implementation of Dayton agreement, and the wish about improvement of economic cooperation was expressed and highlighted the need for cooperation of two states at the third market.

SARAJEVO - The High civilian Representative Carlos Westendorp reminded all citizens of B&H that since today they must have the joint registering plates and new driving license in order to be able to cross international borders.

SRBINJE - The founding assembly of the Chetniks ravnogorski Movement for Serbian Herzegovina will be held on June 14 in Srbinje - was decided at the widened session of the initiative Board of this non-party organisation, held in Srbinje.
