BANJALUKA - Let our friends come to us starting from this day, and we will we also go there where we are being friendly received, said Biljana Plavsic, the President of Republika Srpska (RS), welcoming passengers of JAT's (Jugoslav Airlines) aeroplane, which came from Belgrade to Banjaluka today. In that way civil transportation between RS and FR Jugoslavia (FRJ) has been finally officially established. The RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik assessed the landing of the aeroplane as true example of cooperation and mutual understanding between RS and FRJ. Nikola Sainovic, the vice- president of the Jugoslav Government, who was at head of Serbian Government's delegation, stated after landing on airport Mahovljani that the flight was "a step toward improvement of life in RS and further development of relations between RS and FRJ".

BANJALUKA - The RS Prime Minister stated in Laktasi that establishing of civilian traffic between RS and FRJ has showed rise of RS and her presentation in the world. "Today we are taking care of revival of economy and normalisation of life in order to return the optimism for the people to stay in RS", Dodik emphasised at celebration in the hotel "San" on the occasion of the first flight of JAT's aeroplane to Banjaluka. Expressing hope that from that day on a new era of cooperation between RS and FRJ and the world would start, Dodik emphasised that he was expecting that the temporary licence for opening of Banjaluka's airport would soon become permanent one. He said the vice-president of FRJ Government, Nikola Sainovic, promised him that. "Stabile development of RS and better life of her citizens is true wish and strategical interest of FRJ", Sainovic said after he had talks with the RS Prime Minister and his associates.

BANJALUKA - The RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik stated in Laktasi that results of talks with JAT's representatives about founding of an RS air company would be known in a months. On the occasion of the arrival of FRJ delegation in Banjaluka by the first JAT's flight, RS Prime Minister said that the future company "will have close relations with JAT". "It is in our interest that relations of the two countries are in accordance with the Agreement on special parallel connections of FRJ and RS", Dodik explained.

BANJALUKA - The general director of Banjaluka's airport Mahovljani, Milanko Kovacevic, expressed pleasure with its opening and announced soon establishing of a regular air traffic on the line Banjaluka - Belgrade. In a special statement for SRNA Kovacevic assessed that airport's leadership had plans for flights from Banjaluka for abroad, especially for Germany and Austria.

BANJALUKA - At eight session held in Banjaluka the RS Government accepted completely and without any discussions a RS Prime Minister's written report on five days' visit to the U.S.A. and meeting of the Government's delegation with officials of the international community. The Ministers also determined the Draft on the law on changes and amendment of the law on weapon and ammunition. On the Board for Internal Policy's proposal, explained by the Government's vice-president Ostoja Kremenovic, they did not pass the Law on amnesty for unauthorised possession of mines and explosive devices and other devices used in a war, because this issue would be regulated by amendments of the current law. The Government made a decision on forming of the Home State Enterprise "RS Oil Industry", which would include the Refinery of Naphtha Srpski Brod, Oil Refinery Modrica, "Energopetrol" and "Terpentin".

BANJALUKA - The RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik assessed in Banjaluka that the recent visit of the Government's delegation to the U.S.A. has been very useful and contributed to fast affirmation of RS in the world. After the Government had accepted allinclusive and very detailed report of the Prime Minister on five days' visit to the U.S.A. , Dodik emphasised in the statement for SRNA that the visit has been successful from the financial aspect too.

BANJALUKA - The RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik supported state organs of Serbia to stop all forms of Albanian terrorism in Kosovo and Metohija. Dodik says in a letter forwarded to the president of the Government of Serbia Mirko Marjanovic that "aware of the international community's stances that every problem in Kosovo and Metohija has to be solved within Serbia, Albanian separatists have decided to internationalise the Kosovo problem with terroristic actions".

PRISTINA - Serbian students of Pristina University prevented intrusion of a thousand of Albanian demonstrators into the University's buildings in this city. The students, who are mostly from RS, opposed to the violent attempt of the demonstrators. After a short clash between the students and demonstrators, the attackers run away.

BELGRADE - FRJ Parliament's Council of Citizens rejected at a session the initiative of the Democratic Party's (DS) representative Ljubisa Vucic to discuss the situation in Kosovo. Together with delegate of Coalition for Vojvodina Mile Isakov and Coalition for Sandzak Sulejman Ugljanin, Vucic demanded from the Prime Minister Radoje Kontic to inform the Council of Citizens about recent events in Kosovo, for which only 23 delegates from 138 have voted for.

BELGRADE - The Federal Assembly's Council of Citizens accepted the Law on ratification of the agreement on duel citizenship between FRJ and RS, which has been sighed by former Foreign Affairs Minister Milan Milutinovic and Momcilo Krajisnik last year on December 13. A hundred delegates voted for the ratification, while four abstained from voting. The Council of Citizens did not accept a proposal of Montenegrin Party for Democratic Action's (SDA) delegates and delegates of Coalition for Sandzak, who were demanding to make possible for the Muslims from FRJ to acquire B&H citizenship by the Agreement.

BRCKO - The International Community High Representative for B&H Carlos Westendorp is supposed to visit Brcko tomorrow. As it was announced from the Office of the Supervisor for Brcko, Westendorp would visit returnees in the separation zone and have talks with the leaders of this municipality and representatives of the international community in Brcko.

BANJALUKA - The current Croatian authority is conducting the process of ethnical cleansing of remained Serbs in Eastern Slavonia, in front of the whole world, the Serbian Intellectual Forum concluded at a meeting in Banjaluka. It claims that Republic of Croatia's laws, preventing return of refugees, are to blame for exodus of the Serbs from Eastern Slavonia.

VUKOVAR - The Executive Board of Independent Democratic Serbian Party (IO SDSS) assessed at a session in Vukovar that the situation was getting worse in Eastern Slavonia and it was uncomprehensible that the Croatian President Franjo Tudjman was allowing violation of the Erdut and Dayton agreement. IO SDSS says in a letter for Franjo Tudjman that "Croatian Government is not observing the documents, especially after January 15, when it took over the executive and legislative power in the region".
