BANJALUKA - RS president Biljana Plavsic, talked in Banjaluka with newly- appointed Hungarian ambassador to Sarajevo Kalaman Kacis on current political situation in RS and establishment of economic cooperation with Hungary. Following the meeting, the presidential cabinet announced that the Hungarian ambassador proposed that Hungarian economic experts team visit RS and identify priority fields for assistance and cooperation.

BIJELJINA - The head of the RS Army (VRS) General Staff, general-major Pero Colic, organised a reception for young VRS officers, and awarded them for achievements they showed during their education. General Colic assessed that "the position of a Serb officer has a special meaning and embraces a historic dimension", and added that "new VRS commanding staff is born out in blood of best Serb sons from the territory of the former B-H. "

SARAJEVO - The Serb Radio-TV (SRT) sent an open letter to the Hague Tribunal chief prosecutor Louise Arbour reminding her that the right to free and differing opinion is a measure of democratic level of every political programme, political system and its institutions. "We must not give in to blackmails and orders by our enemies, for our tragic experience thought us that every concession had enhanced Serb suffering equally as our enemies' appetites had grown", Kalajic assessed.

THE PRAGUE - SFOR action of SRT transmitters take-over is a kind of a coupe preparation in RS, warns the Prague paper "Halo Novine". "Organisers of a coupe always take the main media first. That is how NATO behaves in RS", explained the opposition daily. Media in the Prague are unanimous that SFOR action is a real spot on Europe's face".

VIENNA - Austrian, German and Swiss commentators assess that the newest US play down of the Belgrade agreement is US opposition to the up-coming presidential elections in RS which can serve for a conclusion that "Americans are anxious about possible defeat of RS president Biljana Plavsic at the elections, for it would mean that the USA would be left without a reliable pro- American politician in RS top-leadership. "

BEOGRAD - Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic met in Belgrade with the US special envoy for the Balkans, Robert Galbard. They are expected to discuss the Dayton implementation, after which a press conference scheduled for 17:00 hrs should take place in the "Hyatt" Hotel in Belgrade.

PODGORICA - The president of Monte Negro, Momir Bulatovic took the ballot in the first round of presidential elections in Monte Negro, announced deputy president of the Republic Electoral Commission, Miras Radovic. The other presidential candidate, Monte Negro's prime minister Milo Djukanovic took 145,337 votes, while the remaining six candidates together won 15,000 votes. He added that Seselj won in Belgrade, and according to data he mentioned, in the Belgrade municipality of Palilula Seselj won 49.44 per cent and Lilic 50.65 per cent, and in the municipality of Vozdovac, Seselj got 55.07 and Lilic 44.93 per cent of votes.

AMSTERDAM - Ten Bosnian Croats indicted for war crimes - Pero Skopljak, Zoran and Mirjan Kupresic, Vladimir Santic, Drago Josipovic, Marinko Katva, Dragan Papic, Ivan Santic, Mario Cerkez and Dario Kordic, one of the most wanted Bosnian Croat political leaders also indicted for war crimes - arrived to Dutch military base Valkenbourg to surrender to the Hague Tribunal.
