BELGRADE - The head of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), Vojislav Kostunica, assessed that "five years of the existence of Republika Srpska are going on in accordance with the best Serbian tradition on a religious holiday of the St. Stephan day and are confirming the state wisdom and farsightedness of those who took part in this act five years ago".

BELGRADE - We are one people and our future will be synchronised, stated the leader of the Democratic Party (DS), Zoran Djindjic in an interview for SRNA, wishing Republika Srpska (RS) a happy January 9 - the Day of its statehood.

BELGRADE - Although with numerous victims, RS has won its statehood, showing that the will of the people is stronger than all misfortunes, sufferings and obstacles, stated the head of the Congregational People's Party (SNS), Slobodan Rakitic, wishing RS a happy January 9 - the Day of its statehood.

BELGRADE - The spokesman of the Yugoslav Left (JUL), Aleksandar Vulin, wished the RS citizens a happy January 9 - the Day of statehood, wishing that peace, freedom and prosperity to be reality.

BELGRADE - The head of the New Democracy (ND), Cedomir Mirkovic, assessed that the RS statehood is definite and irrevocable, with the defined territory and borders, authority, its own army and internal security.

BELGRADE - Wishing RS a happy January 9 - Day of its statehood, the leader of the Serbian Liberal Party (SLS), Nikola Milosevic, wished that the possibility for joining the RS with "the real democratic Serbia" be made in the nearest future.

SARAJEVO - Croatian representatives asked for a flag with lilies to be removed from the meeting hall where the 3rd Assembly session of the Neretvansko-Hercegovacki canton was taking place, pointing out that this is the flag of the non-existing "Republic of B&H". As Muslim Radio, Studio- Sarajevo reported, deputies of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) sharply opposed to this Croatian requirement.

KRESEVO - Croatian police and IPTF stopped a bus driving Muslim refugees who wished to pay a visit to their homes in the village of Bjelavici, near Kresevo, because the local authorities could not guarantee them a safe passage, reports Muslim radio, Studio-Sarajevo.
