NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA - A member of the Presidency of the Dayton B&H, Momcilo Krajisnik expressed in Banjaluka his pleasure because of the way on which a constitutive session of the National Assembly of Republika Srspka (NS RS) was held. In a brief statement for journalists, Krajisnik thanked the participants who "announced that a new era which will inter the war and misunderstandings in these areas is ahead". He also said that he is satisfied with the course and the way on which the Assembly was held, so in that regard he thanked the media that were reporting from this great and important assembly.

BANJALUKA - NS RS president Dragan Kalinic, assessed in Banjaluka that the Assembly's constitutive session has confirmed the continuation of continuity of parliamentary work and statehood of the RS. He said that the future work of the Assembly and its bodies will, regarding its new composition, be a little bit different than it was during the four years of war. "It is possible that this work will resemble the pre-war assembly sessions. This is logical for we are now at the peaceful times, but I hope that all deputies will show the maximum of their understanding", said Kalinic

BANJALUKA - The newly-appointed vice-president of the NS RS, Miroslav Vjestica, assessed an inaugural session in Banjaluka as the continuation of continuity in the work of the highest legislative bodies of authority in the Republic. According to him, a session at which the Assembly was constituted and its leadership chosen was held in accordance with the constitution. While commenting behaviour of some deputies from the Federation of B&H, Vjestica pointed out that "gentlemen from the another entity must be aware of the existence of RS and its Constitution and Law, and are obliged to respect the same".

BANJALUKA - The newly-elected vice-president of the NS RS, Nikola Poplasen, assessed that all those who signed and insisted on the Dayton Agreement should in the future respect decisions of the Serb Parliament.

BANJALUKA - While assessing a constitutive session of the NS RS (the National Assembly of Republika Srpska), the president of the Club of Representatives of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), Vojislav Maksimovic, stated that the Assembly was "impressive and is to be remembered". "This is a grand date in parliamentary life of the RS, everything was excellent and, especially, a solemn taking an oath just the way the Serbs should do it", pointed he.
