REVIEW OF DAILY NEWS, JUNE 5, 1996

KOTOR VAROS - The president of Republika Srpska (RS) Radovan Karadzic and RS Army commander general Ratko Mladic are the true heroes of the latest patriotic war and the best sons of the Serbian people, stated Dr Milorad Kuzmanovic, the president of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) for Kotor Varos.

RUDO - The SDS for Rudo sent a telegram of support to the RS president Radovan Karadzic and the VRS commander general Ratko Mladic.

MALMO - Members of the Serb Association in Sweden sent a telegram of support to the RS president Radovan Karadzic and the VRS commander general Ratko Mladic, demanding their further en gagement in strengthening of the RS.

BANJALUKA - The Serbian Radical Party (SRS) sent a sharp public protest regarding IFOR's attempt yesterday to arrest a member of the SRS leadership, Slavko Aleksic, in Lukavica. The SRS warned that "IFOR's behaviour is not consistent with the Dayton agreement and the reasons for their presence in the re gion, and it can only help the people activate all means to defend their leaders".

BANJALUKA - The RS minister for refugees and displaced persons Ljubisa Vladusic, held a working meeting with the chiefs of municipal officials of this sector, concluding that resettling of refugees and displaced persons especially in RS bordering areas are the primary internal political and strategic issue, which has to be resolved by the end of the year at latest.

SARAJEVO - The RS minister of health Dragan Kalinic, talked in Pale with the UN special envoy Graca Michel on the postwar psychosocial and health problems with children in RS. They empha sised that the acute health illnesses are not as problematic as the traumatic disorders provoked by war are, targeting children refugees, particularly.

LONDON - The U.S. secretary of state Warren Christopher insists the arrest of RS president Radovan Karadzic and the VRS commander general Ratko Mladic not because he considers them as real war criminals, but to remove from power those persons for whom the majority of RS citizens would vote in every fair and free elections. Besides assessments that the conditions for fair and free elections are not created yet, the U.S.A. does not want their delay, for it is very important for Bill Clinton to show the U.S. mission in the former B-H as its great success.

BRUSSELS - NATO commander for Southern Europe general George Joulwan refused the approval of the NATO political leadership to step up the petrols around Pale aimed at restricting the possi bility of movement for the RS president Radovan Karadzic and general Rako Mladic. In his immediate reaction to general Joul wan's decision, the Russian foreign minister Evgeny Primakov stated that he agrees that Dr Karadzic and Rako Mladic leave the political stage, but Russia is still opposed to their arrest and delivery to the Hague.

PARIS - The international community fears that the further attempts at the political satanisation of the Serbs and demands for arrest of the RS president Radovan Karadzic and the VRS commander Ratko Mladic and their turn over to the Hague tribunal can provoke a general people's up rise. The "EURO-News" telecast of the meetings of support to the two Serb leaders clearly shows that the Serbian people said "no" to the pressures of the inter national community and all other dictates coming from abroad exerts by its foreign dictates and offered their fully support to their leaders.

BERLIN - The Greek foreign minister Theodos Pangalis warned at the NATO Ministerial Conference held in Berlin that the cam paign against the Serbs in RS is not contributive to peace. "Tages Zeitung" cites Richard Hoolbroke, the former U.S. mediator for Yugoslavia, that the European forces will be able to replace the Americans if they pull out by the end of December.

GENEVA - The western destroyers of the former Yugoslavia, supported by quislings, are more and more intensively widening their Balkan imperial undertaking, starting from the former B-H, across Raska (former Sanjak) to the Kossovo. They often relay on the Dayton formula for destruction of the Serb state entities and the interests, in one package, methodically using known and unknown concessions of the peacemakerssignatories from the US military base in Ohio, says a commentary of the SRNA's Geneva correspondent, Momcilo Blagojevic.

HAMBURG - The U.S. president is the first one who needs the elections in the former B-H elections because he wants to be reelected president, on November 5th, assess the German press. They write that Clinton's pledge that the U.S. military mandate in Bosnia ends in December is a proof to this claim.

BONN - The German government sticks to 20 December as a date set for the withdrawal of the multinational forces in the former Yugoslavia, stated the spokesman of German ministry of defence. Contrary to this, the German foreign secretary Helmut Shifer stated that "IFOR should extend its mandate beyond 20 December".

ZURICH - The NATO European countries should act more inde pendently in future in the scope of their allies and without American participation, writes Swiss press, reminding that it was agreed at the Berlin meeting that EU-controlled troops be formed to act as offensive multinational troops for rapid reactions in crisis and peace missions. /end/
