[01] Meeting of the President - Director General of SRR with representatives of parliamentary political partiesIn preparation of the electoral campaign of Radio Romania, the President Director General of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Corporation, Andrei Radu Dimitriu, met with the members of the Consultative Committee of Analyses and assessment before all the parliamentary political parties to present the strategy and the format of the electoral campaign radio programmes of RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI and of the Regional Radio Stations of our corporation. Andrei Radu Dimitriu has again stressed the opening of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Corporation and the objective attitude we have towards all parties represented in the electoral campaign; he also made an appeal to the political leaders to use a civilized approach which should allow the correct communication of messages that is a must of the public national radio service of this country.[02] Plenum of the Council of National Ethnic MinoritiesThe Plenum of the Council for National Minorities analyzed collaboration between the ethnic minorities of Romania and the national public radio service of this country. The President of the Albanians Union of Romania stressed the fact that all representatives of the ethnic minorities of Romania appreciate the concern of THE ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION to correctly present national minorities traditions and their role in the process of the country's democratization. The executive director general of SRR ( Societatea Romana de Radio ) Dragos Seuleanu said that by its policy in programme making RADIO ROMANIA contributes to amplifying dialog between the majority and the ethnic minorities.Radio programme makers Paul Grigoriu and Dragos Seuleanu were awarded prizes for their contribution to the building of a climate of inter-ethnic cooperation. [03] CALENDARRomanian delegation participates in the Conference of the Women members of South East European countries which is unfolding in Athens on 29 - 30 September.Romanian foreign minister Constantin Dudu Ionescu is making at the head of a delegation a visit to Croatia where an accord is to be signed between the two countries for combatting organized crime. The President of the Democratic Party - PD - Petre Roman - is invited to attend as a guest of honor the National Congress of CNSLR Fratia trade union federation which unfolds at Slanic Moldova. CDR - 2000 holds a press conference at the Palace of the Romanian Parliament at 11:00. At the press center of the ROMANIAN RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION the ceremony has taken place of awarding the diploma for long and outstanding service and devotion to Academician Nicolae Cajal; the diploma is awarded by UGIR 1903, UZP and UNCER as well as by the radio programme TRADITIONS AND CULTURAL ASSETS IN ROMANIA, the Demosthenes Association, the Choral Association of Romania and the Foundation Ion Voicu. The Romanian - American Fulbright Commission organizes a seminar for United States scholarship holders that study in Romania during 2000 - 2001.
