    SARANDA, NOV. 9 (ATA) - By Sh Hajno: The association "Saranda - Business" has been established recently in the district of Sarande, Southern Albania.

    The association is a body which joins the businessmen of this district and protects their interests.

    Members of this association are some 150 merchants and businessmen from the town and communes of the district, who carry out their activity in this region.

    It is the first time that such an association is set up in this district, which will be in touch with state bodies and particularly with the Ministry of Labour, Emigration and Social Assistance./s.sh/kled/mt/sh/

    TIRANA, NOV. 9 (ATA) - "Premier Nano draws up the balance-sheet of the government before the journalists," reports Zeri i Popullit regarding the news conference of Nano under the title "Here are the hundred days of my government."

    "Ministers come out of the offices," writes the paper on the first page. "Tomorrow, agreement on customs between the European Commission and the Albanian government," reports the paper under the title "Severe measures for the naval smuggling." "Interpol repatriates 70 underage children, involved in the net of crime," reports the paper on the seventh page under the title "A part from the drama of children exploitation uncovered."

    "The left party members created the pyramid schemes and manipulated them in function of coming to power," says the editorial of Rilindja Demokratike, entitled "The collapse of Albanian banks, serious engagement of Nano government."

    "After three months of failures, strong changes prepared in the government," reports the paper "Malaj, Milo and Ceka in the lists of cleansing." "Nano has decided to make the changes of his cabinet by the beginning of next year." The paper covers the meeting of the democratic leader with the Kosova Premier under the title "Crete - national betrayal." On the fifth page the paper publishes the article "The strike of usuries will sweep the country."

    "If there is a point to be discussed regarding the activity of Berisha as President, this is undoubtedly the amnesty for the former prisoners of Bence, Fatos Nano, in March 1997," reports the paper under the title "Berisha should not pardon the bandit in chief."

    "Europe removes any illusion for the spontaneous integration trumpet by the Crete summit and demands to open way to the integration in block," reports Republika in the editorial entitled "Spontaneous integration or integration in block?" "An hour speech for 100 days of governing," writes the paper regarding the news conference of Premier Nano. "SP forebodes the electoral suicide," reports the paper on the third page.

    "The communists of all colors went yesterday in illegality like in 1941, near the house where their communist party was founded," writes the paper under the title "The communists do not surrender." "The trade of usuries springs up again," reports the paper on the economic page.

    "The prosecutor's office suspends investigations, government's denunciation does not have juridical proofs," reports Koha Jone under the title "Vefa case closed." "As it was expected, Crete would not pass without consequences, regarding the relation Tirana-Prishtina," writes the paper in the editorial entitled "Crete between Tirana and Prishtina."

    "Sources from the Council of Ministers reports that Prodi will land in Vlore on Thursday to participate in the burial ceremony of the victims of the Otranto tragedy in March 28 of this year," reports the paper on the third page, under the title "Romano Prodi lands in Vlore."

    The paper covers the news conference of Premier Nano under the title "Nano, no bad days." "Premier Nano promised that within two years will create 220 000 jobs," reports the paper on the economic page, under the title "Unemployment very high - Nano optimist." "The police draw the balance-sheet for the last nine months," writes the paper under the title "More than 470 people killed and 612 arrested."

    "10 000 job positions reduced," reports Albania. "An obvious reduction will be in the number of the staff of the state administration, aiming that in March 1998, their number be some 10 000," declared Albania's PM in the news conference," reports the paper. "Zani Caushi keeps the keys of the government prison," is the editorial of the paper. "The only political head of gangs arrested is Zani Caushi," says the editorial. "Most of the socialists can annul the resolution for the recognition of Kosova as an independent state," writes the paper on the third page under the title "Albania may not recognize Kosova." The paper covers the news conference of Center Right under the title "Nano is not governing. "The budget of Nano, an ominous pyramid system," is another article published by the paper on the fifth page.

    Rilindja highlights the meeting of President Meidani with Kosova Prime Minister under the title "Necessity for unique operation." Under the title "I have only done my own duty in Crete," the paper covers the news conference of Premier Nano. "On January 1, 1998, will begin the legalization of Albanian emigrants in Greece, " writes the paper on the first page. "The Crete summit is of no interest for Kosova," is another article published by the paper.

    "Millions of dollars deviate from the state budget towards the pockets of individuals," report Shekulli under the title "The customs, Albania without tobacco." The paper covers the news nconference of PM Nano under the title "March, 10 000 employees in streets." "The pesticides: The silence of the state - a mystery" is another article published by the paper.

    "Zhulali investigated on Bulgaria," reports Gazeta Shqiptare on the third page. "The state control returns to the Zhulali case," writes the paper.

    The paper carries an interview with the SP Secretary General, Pandeli Majko. The paper covers the news conference of Premier Nano under the title "Even Nano 'Vision 2000': Work for everybody." "Bukoshi urgently comes in Tirana, he meets with Nano and Berisha," reports the paper./kled/mt/sh/

    [03] PILOT SCHOOLS FOR HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION

    TIRANA, NOV. 9 (ATA) - By P Shuteriqi: The 8-year school "Rilindja" in Vlore, "Andon Xoxe" in Fier "Drita" in Burrel and the school no. 1 in Kruje have been chosen by the Albanian Center of Human Rights to become pilot schools regarding the civilian education of pupils.

    These four different schools were appointed, the executive director of this center, Kozara Kati, told ATA, in extending the three Projects, 1997-1999, which was first implemented with the pupils of the 8-year school "Sabaudin Gabrani" in Tirana.

    The first session of the education course was held with inspectors of education from five districts of the country. Some 45 training session were launched for five consecutive days, in which 10 specialists and six lecturers of the education subject took the floor. /kled/mt/sh/

    [04] MILITARY OATH - IMPORTANT MOMENT FOR THE LIFE OF NEW SOLDIERS

    KUKES, NOV. 9 (ATA) - By R Hoxha:Albania's Minister of Defence Sabit Brokaj considered the military oath a very important moment during a meeting he held with the new soldiers of the second Division of infantry in the district of Kukes.

    Talking about the restoration of the army, Brokaj said that it is the duty of this time to enrich the Albanian army with new traditions, with partners like NATO and USA, in order to make it an army of the Western type.

    Attending the ceremony were retired officers, senior officials of the Defence Ministry, representatives of local government, etc. /kled/mt/sh/
