[01] KOPLIKU FOLK GROUP LEAVES FOR FRANCE

The group was awarded the first prize in the National Folk festival of Berat last year.

Besides the contest in Lion's festival, which includes over contesting 30 groups from various European states, the group will also give performance in several other cities of France. a.ke/kled/lm/sh/

[02] OSCE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY ANNUAL SESSION STARTS PROCEEDINGS

The Albanian parliamentary delegation, taking part in the session, is headed by deputy Genc Pollo and made up of deputies Albert Brojka, Sali Rexhepi and Vasil Melo.

The Speaker of the Swedish Parliament, Brigita Grondahl, greeted the parliamentary Assembly on the first day proceedings. Later the Assembly continued in plenary session.

Saturday's proceedings began with the meeting of the permanent committee and continued with the meetings of the General committees.

Genc Pollo stressed NATO's key role in ensuring security in Europe and the historical need os enlargening the Alliance, underlining the excellent cooperation between NATO and Albania over the last four years.

Pollo said that as regards OSCE, Albania holds that one of the main pillars on which the organisation's decision taking process, the rule of consensus, is based, this especially important for the small countries, should be preserved.

In the next days, the Assembly will also consider a draft-resolution on the situation in former-Yugoslavia. kled/lm/sh/

Under the headline:"Political round table", Balli i Kombit (The National Front) carries the article:"We know how to solve problems ourselves".

Lajmi i Dites carries authentic documents previously unpublished of the Foreign office on 69 Albanian politicians of the years '30-'40.

"This is the real Socialist Party", says Tribuna. One of those taking part in the changing of the name of the Party of Labour testifies, the paper says. The paper carries the article:"The Christian Democrats agree to dialogue with the Democratic Party", regarding the proceedings of the National Council of the Christian-Democratic Party.

The presidency of the Socialist Party and majority of of the Steering Committee facing Nano, the paper says.

"Demography and the democratic solution " is the title of an article carried by the newspaper "Rilindja". The paper carries an interview of writer Kadare with the magazine "Lettre International" of Berlin entitled:"Albanians in Kosova have the right to a free life".

Under the headline:"The CE Ministers' Committee finally determines the attitude towards Albania", Koha Jone says:"Institutional reform and fresh elections". The European mission soon in Tirana: The Albanian May 26 file still open", the paper says.

Dita Informacion in the feature "Opinion" carries the article:"The hot Monday of SP".

"Members of the presidency denounce the motion", Gazeta Shqiptare says under the title:"Nano intended to eliminate us".
