Together with the RS Prime Minister, vice-president of the Government and Minister of Foreign Economic Affairs, Savo Loncar, and Minister of Finance, Novak Kondic, departed for France.DOBOJ - In the last month, 168 of Muslim families have moved in from FB&H to Doboj's settlements Potocani and Sevarlije. JULY 22, 1998 DAYNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKASARAJEVO - House of Commons of the B&H Parliamentary Assembly did not adopt in Sarajevo Proposal on the Law on Privatisation of Enterprises and Banks in B&H, because Serbian representatives voted against. During discussion related to this Proposal, delegate , Borislav Paravac, warned that passing of that Law would be violation of the B&H Constitution and the Dayton Peace Accord. He stressed that "privatisation is exclusively under jurisdiction of the entities".BANJALUKA - The Republika Srpska (RS) Alternative Government forwarded a request to the OSCE in which demands for, Alija Izetbegovic, to be excluded from the list of the B&H Presidency members candidates, because of his statement that he would not allow for a single Muslim family in Sarajevo to be moved out. At a press-conference in Banjaluka, President of the Alternative Government, Dubravko Prstojevic, stressed that Izetbegovic's statement was not in accordance with the Annex 7 of the Dayton Peace Accord. SARAJEVO - The Police station in Srpsko Sarajevo, will start receiving, from July 22nd, the requests for passports issuing, said in Pale Nenad Gunjak, Chief of the Department for Issuing of Passports. BRCKO - Head of the Police station in Brcko, Savo Cvjetinovic, confirmed that the station received around 700 requests for passports. According to him, requests for passports issuing will be taken into consideration, starting July 23rd. SARAJEVO - In accordance with a decision made by the International Community High Representative, Carlos Westendorp, the Independent Commission on Media, imposed a moratorium on issuing of new frequencies for broadcasting, which will be into effect until this commission approve new broadcasting or issue the license for broadcasting. "The Independent Commission on Media is an independent agency which will establish an operating system for electronic and other media in B&H. Currently, the Commission is establishing the way of operating which will be presented at the press-conference on July 30th" - is said in the announcement. BANJALUKA - A candidate of the RS Socialist Party for a delegate in the future convocation of the RS National Assembly, Momir Malic, said that the SP would continue to make efforts for the Law on Depriving of the War Profit, from individuals who had made themselves rich during the war, to be passed. At a pressconference in Banjaluka he said that passing of this law would be a priority for the future RS Parliament. PRIJEDOR - The President of the Municipal Board of the Party of Independent Socialdemocrats (SNSD) in Prijedor, Mile Djukic, said at a press-conference in Prijedor that the SNSD, in the case that the Sloga Coalition gain majority in the RS Parliament, would propose Milorad Dodik the Prime Minister. The SNSD will be running for the elections independently. BIJELJINA - Problem of refugees and displaced persons is a crucial question for the RS Government and passing of the Regulation on paying the additional tax on all kinds of liquid fuel valued at 10KP (pfennigs) per liter, for moving out of collective shelters in RS is a concrete step toward solving that problem, it has been said at a press-conference held by the SNSD Municipal Board in Bijeljina. SOFIA - The Ministerial council of the Bulgarian Government approved at a session an Agreement on trade-economic cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and B&H - the Cabinet of the Bulgarian Government announced. The Agreement anticipates development and increment of economic cooperation and trade exchange on the equal bases - is said in the announcement. PRISTINA - The Serbia Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) had no casualties during last night's attacks by the Albanian terrorists on a police station in Srbica - SRNA has learned from representatives of the local authorities in Kosovska Mitrovica. The shots were fired from the near by buildings and police answered on the fire. JULY 22, 1998 EVENINGNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKAMILIC - The Milici Municipal Assembly, represented by the ex-president Tomislav Savic and the Municipal Assembly Executive Board, represented by Radomir Bjelanovic, filed a complaint with the Republika Srpska (RS) Supreme Court against the President of the RS, Biljana Plavsic, because of her decision to establish a Secretariat in this Municipality. The accusation was presented to the press in the International Press-centre in Banjaluka.BANJALUKA - The President of the RS Socialist Party (SP), Zivko Radisic, held talks in Banjaluka with the Deputy International Community High Representative, Hans Schumacher, about the implementation of the Dayton Paece Accord, the forthcoming elections and the functioning of the Parlimentary system. "The international community supports the democratic changes in the RS and it will support financially or in some other way economic reform in the RS", the SPRS stated. BELGRADE - All refugees who want to get back their right to occupy their apartments, do not need any document, apart from the signed request for return, which should be dispatched by October 4th - the president of the Association for Assistance to Refugees and Displaced Persons in FRY, Milorad Muratovic, stated at a press-conference in Belgrade. According to him, it is illegal to ask refugees to provide any other documents confirming their tenancy rights. BANJALUKA - The central police station in Banjaluka appealed to all citizens not to make a fuss regarding the issuing of passports, because that will make it easier for employees to do their job. In a statement to the public, citizens are reminded that the application for a passport must be typed or filled in with block letters with a tax of 30 dinars and payment of 30.00 KM or DM. BANJALUKA - With Article 7. of the RS Constitution, it has been regulated that the Serbian language, in the jekavian and ekavian dialect and Cyrillic alphabet, is in official use in the RS. The regulation was confirmed by the RS Constitutional Court on February 26th 1998 after an initiative of the RS Association of the Serbian language literature teachers for the assessment of the consistency of the Law on the offical use of language and alphabet with Paragraph 1, Article 7 of the RS Constitution. BRCKO - The mortal remains of 36 Serbian civilians, killed by Muslim- Croatian forces in September 1992 in 13 villages in the Bukvik region, were buried at the city and local cemeteries in Brcko. A joint funeral service , attended by thousands of citizens, was held by the Bishop of Zvornik-Tuzla, Vasilije, and attended by representatives of the RS Government, the municipality and the RS Army. SARAJEVO - The International Committee of the Red Cross promoted in Sarajevo the fourth edition of the "Book on Missing Persons in the region of B&H". The coordinator for protection in this organisation, Antonella Notary, called on all who can help in searching for those mentioned in the book. "Families of these people will never have peaceful moments until they find out the truth about their loved ones", said Mrs. Notary. JULY 22, 1998 EVENINGNEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKAPARIS - The Republika Srpska (RS) Prime Minister, Milorad Dodik, and French Foreign Affairs Minister, Hubert Vedrine, agreed that the RS Government achieved a lot but many problems were still ahead which still need to be solved - it has been stated after talks. France has an important role in everything that the RS Government done so far, said the RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik and reminded that Paris is the city where the agreement, which put an end to the war in B&H, was signed. Dodik repeated the RS Government stance that the revision of the Dayton Peace Accord must not take place and confirmed main goals of his Cabinet. The international community must find a solution for refugees and property problems, stressed the RS Prime Minister. Also, necessity of the privatisation implementation was stressed, which should be under the entities jurisdiction.BANJALUKA - The International Community High Representative, Carlos Westendorp, will impose the framework of the Law on Privatisation, which was not accepted at today's session by Serbian representatives in the House of Commons of the B&H Parliamentary Assembly. The OHR in Banjaluka said that the law was previously passed by the B&H Council of Ministers and the House of Representatives of the B&H Parliamentary Assembly. "This kind of a situation i.e. rejecting of the law, by members of the House of Commons under false excuse, is completely unacceptable, keeping in mind previously agreed stances by the House of Representatives and the Council of Ministers", is said in the statement. PRIJEDOR - Deputy High Representative, Hans Schumacher said in Prijedor that an equal legal base in both of entities was a prerequisite for a free choice of refugees among three possibilities offered by the Annex 7. of the Dayton Peace Accord. "This provides for every refugee a free choice in a view of all possibilities. If you do not have an equal legal base than justified choice will not be given to anyone", said Schumacher at a pressconference in Prijedor, after the meeting with representatives of political parties which are participating in the Municipal and Republic Parliament. SRBINJE - We formed the coalition with the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) in order to preserve the RS - said in Srbinje Mirjana Sainovic, first on the list of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) for the Republic Parliament on the elections in September. As a guest of the Radio Srbinje she said that "Serbs today have many enemies who wish to integrate RS into the unitary B&H and who have hopes that Serbian votes will 'squander' because there are many political parties involved". PRISTINA - Thanks to the ICRC 35 Serbs, who had been kidnapped by terrorists in the village of Zociste near Orahovac during recent attack on this village, have been released - Media Centre in Pristina reported. Among the released ones were seven monks and one nun, who are currently in the Gracanica monastery while other 27, mostly elderly people, were taken care of by the province committee of the Red Cross in Pristina. MRKONIC GRAD - On the bases of the agreement, signed by representatives of the Mrkonjic Grad Municipality, the RS Government and Austria, the Austrian firm "Seba", along with the State public enterprise "Park" from Mrkonjic Grad, will start on July 27th a reconstruction of the water supply system, valued at 2,5 millions of DM.
