BANJA LUKA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic stated in Banja Luka that the main objective of the meeting in Belgrade was postponing the parliamentary elections for November 23, because OSCE because of technical reasons could not accepted the previously determined date , the November 15. while arriving at the airport "Mahovljani" near Banja Luka Mrs. Plavsic said to reporters that in Belgrade they did not talk about the presidential elections. "We talked a lot about media, although about that we didn't bring any conclusion, because it flows its own way", said president of RS and added that those who made mistakes will probably correct them.

BANJA LUKA - The president of the Socialistic of RS /SPRS/ Zivko Radisic favourably access about the newest Belgrade's agreement, adding that now is certain that the holding the parliamentary elections on November 23, " by which the crisis in the state will be solved in the peaceful way". At the press conference he stressed that it is best to hold the presidential elections simultaneously with parliamentary.

BANJA LUKA - The president of Republika Srpska /RS/ Biljana Plavsic, U.S. ambassador in B&H Richard Holbrooke and general director of U.S. agency for international development /USAID/ Creck Buck signed in Banja Luka the Agreement on assistance for RS amounting million dollars. The council of the president of RS for economical issues Rajko Tomas explained that it is the word about pilot-project which USAID realised for improving infrastructure in RS, and added that at the first time it will be related to Banja Luka, Srbac, Krupa na Uni, Kozarska Dubica, Celinac and Knezevo.

BANJA LUKA - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic talked in Banja Luka with the president of Republican Electoral Commission Petko Cancar about past local and impending parliamentary elections. after the meeting Cancar said that the Republican and Local Electoral Commissions are fully prepared for implementing the parliamentary elections and that they will, in the same way like before, conduct them professionally and in accordance with the agreed rules.

SARAJEVO - The president of the National Assembly of RS Dragan Kalinic talked in Pale with the representative of the administration of U.S.A. about the future acting of SFOR in RS, to the problem of efficacious return of refugees, issue of freedom and equality of media, and future parliamentary and presidential elections. Kalinic repeated to the high counsellors of the foreign political committee of the U.S. Congress Mark Clark and John Hertsbourg, and the member of the team of American Ambassador Robert Gelbard Endrew Bercom, the resoluteness of the state leadership of RS to implement the Dayton Agreement consistently.

SARAJEVO - The permanent military committee of B&H, in which composition are the representatives of the political and military leadership of RS and Federation B&H /FB&H/, at the session in Lukavica discussed the issue of appointments of the military attaches. The head of the General Staff of RS Army general major Pero Colic stated that there remains the further harmonising the way of appointing persons on these posts, because there exist two armies, announcing that the official stance and final solution about the number of military attaches would be brought at next meeting.

SARAJEVO - The minister of justice of RS Branko Petric assessed that the orders of supervisors for the region of Brcko Robert Farrand about the multi-ethnic administration and judiciary in this municipality were brought just because the reason not to be implemented, for what would be accused the current authorities in RS and by that weaken its position before the arbitration for Brcko. Petric explained that Farrand, by his orders, practically, denied the complete constitutional and legal order of RS, introducing some new institutions which do not exist in the judiciary system of RS, as for example the vice-president of the court.

ZAGREB - The presidency of the Serbian Peoples Council /SNV/ considered last night in Zagreb the programme of the Croatian government on establishing the confidence and normalisation of life in the parts of Croatia which were in war and realising the rights for return of all expelled and fled Serbs. At the session is instigated the initiative for revision of provisions which lead Serbs in Croatia into the unequal position and discussed about the proposal of the law on official use of language and alphabet of ethnic and national communities and minorities.

BANJA LUKA - The representatives of the political parties, which at the basis of electoral results came into the city parliament, agreed in Banja Luka that the constituting session of the City Assembly of Banja Luka would be held on Monday, October 27.

BRCKO - The building of the railroad Bijeljina- Brcko - Samac, on the part long 79,62 kilometres, is still in stoppage at the part which is passing through Brcko, because of the ban of supervisor Robert Farrand from September 18 and accusation that the "Serbian spite railroad" is destroying the houses of Moslems and disables them for return into the city.

DOBOJ - The archimandrite Partenios Meheriotis from Thessaliniki delivered in Doboj 33 tones of family parcels and 80,300 German Marks /DEM/, which the Greek Orthodox church granted to the children of fallen fighters of RS. Next days he will share this aid to the children of fallen Serbian soldiers in Banja Luka, Prijedor, Doboj, Derventa and Petrovo on Ozren mountain.
