SARAJEVO - The editor-in-chief of the Belgrade paper "Drzava" Dragoljub Kojcic and its foreign policy editor Zoran Antic took part at the public tribune "About Freedom of Media" organised by the Serb Radio-TV (SRT) in Pale. "We came to Pale to give support to the SRT, which was brutally denied its right to broadcast by the international community, to persist in pursuing its goals", Kojcic stated. He said that the USA clearly demonstrated here that they did not respect one of the basic human rights - freedom of information - and expressed his conviction that "RS and SRT will win this battle, as they have won all others."

RUDO - The Serbian Radical Party (SRS) got the most of seats in the municipality of Rudo, at the local elections, stated the president of the Local Electoral Commission, Zoran Topalovic. Out of 35 seats, the SRS got 13, Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) got 11, Coalition for B-H seven, while the Socialist Party for RS (SP for RS) got three and New Democratic Movement got one seat.

BRCKO - Number of persons who fulfilled one of the essential conditions for return to the zone of separation in the Brcko area increased to 179 by today's 53 ID cards issued at the improvised police station in the community of Brod, in Brcko area; 1,618 mostly Muslims got Supervisor Office permission for return, and they are obligated to submit proof that they lived in Brcko before the war and to swear to respect RS legislation until the Arbitration Commission brings its final decision. The Public Security Centre (CJB) in Brcko announced setting up of another station for ID cards issuance in the community of Omerbegovaca for Wednesday.

BIJELJINA - The president of the Serbian National Alliance (SNSRS), Svetozar Mihailovic, said in Bijeljina that this Party was ready for the up- coming elections. Committed to the Belgrade agreement, Mihailovic is hopeful that the disputes over SRT broadcast from Pale will be solved soon.

BEOGRAD - The commercial director of the Yugosav Air Transport (JAT), Borivoje Kovacevic, stated in Belgrade that flights for Banjaluka and Sarajevo have not been established yet because SFOR has not issued permission. He said that "JAT is ready to establish the lines, but is still waiting for SFOR's response to its requests."

SARAJEVO - SFOR suspended "every move or training" of the B- H Federation Army until it proves that the Army does not hold war prisoners, says SFOR spokesman Chris Raily in Sarajevo. "We will determine if there are and where are still illegally held prisoners", he stated, and mentioned that by beginning of September the Federation had to answer to a letter of SFOR commander "requiring an inspection on whether there are still war prisoners kept in the Federation territory".

MOSTAR - The spokesman of the Hague Tribunal, Christian Chartier, stated that Bosnian Croats who voluntarily surrender to the Tribunal, would be brought to trial on Wednesday and read their indictments, following which they would plead guilty or not guilty.

MOSTAR - The City Council in Ploce rejected the draft agreement on renting Ploce port to the B-H Federation worked out by the US Arbitration Commission, and concluded that the agreement was based upon threat ruining Croatia's sovereignty, lack of Croatian identity and loosing of the Neretva valley and city of Ploce. The proposal to allocate Ploce port to the B-H Federation and make it a free zone in B-H ownership and under B-H regulations the Council assessed as unacceptable, for it would disregard Croatian legislation.
