PRIJEDOR - By giving report of the deputy head of General Staff of the Army of Republika Srpska /VRS/ the colonel Vinko Pandurevic to the president of Republika Srpska and the supreme commander of the arm forces of RS Biljana Plavsic, at the city stadium in Prijedor was held the central festivity of marking the May 12, the Day of VRS. After that the president of RS, escorted by the chief of General Staff of VRS general-major Pero Colic, inspected of decorated units and brigades of VRS. While addressing members of the VRS, the president Plavsic reminded them of history of the creating the Serbian Army and added that they had proved to the world that neither the history of the Serbian people is measured by years nor decades, but by centuries.

PRIJEDOR - In the framework of marking the Day of VRS the president of Republika Srpska and the supreme commander of armed forces Biljana Plavsic and the chief of General Staff of VRS general-major Pero Colic lay down the wreaths on the graves of Serbian soldiers on the Prijedor cemetery "Pasinac". After this, the local clergy held the requiem for the fallen soldiers in the past wars for freedom.

SARAJEVO - The president in B&H Presidency Momcilo Krajisnik assessed the talks of members of this joint body with the Italian premier Romano Prodi in Sarajevo as "the readiness of Italy to engage itself furthermore in this area as unbiased party and important factor in the European Community". "From our side, I highlighted the need for aid, that international community had to send in B&H, and asked Mr. Prodi to engage more Italy so the Dayton Agreement would be implemented in more easy way", stated Mr. Krajisnik after the meeting.

AMSTERDAM - The trade between Serbs, Croatians and Moslems, which is thriving on the so called Arizona market near Brcko, didn't help in disappearing the ethnic hatred, but only to be provisionally pushed aside - concludes the correspondent of the Dutch news "Volkskrant" Burt Reis. If there is a similarity in anything between these three people, then it is the poverty, great unemployment and the collapse of economy - writes Reis, adding that the peace in this region is utmost sensitive.

PARIS - The High Commissioner of EU for the countries of Eastern Europe Hans van der Brooke, who requires that the return of Moslem's refugees in RS would be conditioned by arresting and extraditing the ex-president of RS Radovan Karadzic to the Hague's Tribunal, by its statements is inflaming new conflicts in Balkans and pushing this region into the new tragedy. This is stressed in the public announcement of the World's Congregation of Serbs, with the seat in Paris.

ATHENS - The division of Bosnia was until recent days the forbidden theme between Moslems, but now they were the ones who insist on the division of this ex-Yugoslavian republic, because they hope that they will succeed to create a pure Moslem state - concludes the Greek news "Katamerini". According to this news, the division of B&H is actually the greatest desire of Moslems, although they realised that they couldn't achieve that nor even along the assistance of the international community, and they are now trying to save "at least, what could be saved".

PODGORICA - In Montenegro started the registering of the refugees eligible to vote, for next municipal elections in RS and FB&H. The registering the refugees will be held in the premises of the Commissioner for the Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Government of Montenegro in Podgorica, and premises of municipal Assemblies in Herceg-Novi and Bijelo Polje.

BRCKO - With the delay of seven days, in Brcko started the registration of voters for impending local elections in RS - it is confirmed in the OSCE Office in Brcko.

BANJA LUKA - The vice-president of the Club of Delegates of the Serbian Radical Party of RS Pantelija Damjanovic stated in Banja Luka that the Provisional Electoral Commission and OSCE repeatedly trying to make a mess in the preparations of next municipal elections, so the Serbs would be accused for nonrespecting the provisions. "However, Serbs will not allow that", said Mr. Damjanovic and stressed that "RS in whole respect the Dayton Agreement".
