NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - At the session of the Government of RS was adopted the Motion on the provision about changing the Provision on closer conditions for creating and work of the agencies of foreign persons in RS. After adopting the Information on requests for using goods reserves, the ministers accepted the provisions of the solutions on nominating deputies of ministers. The Government didn't open the discussion on work version of the basis of economic policy in RS for 1997.

SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of B&H from Republika Srpska /RS/ Momcilo Krajisnik in talks with the special envoy of the US president and assistant of the high representative for economic issues Claude Gance stressed that the interest of the Serbian side for accelerated establishing the Central Bank, while noting that RS is discontented with the inequitable allocation of the economic aid in the past period.

SARAJEVO - The vice-president of RS Government for social affairs and the minister of Health Mirko Sosic talked in Pale with the Greek delegation of the European Commission on education of physicians and nurses, the reconstruction of the existing and building new objects, as well as the procurement of the equipment for hospitals. The minister of Health warned that the "realisation of plans is insecure, since EU do not have intention to invest in building new health objects".

BELGRADE - The commissioner of the Office for refugees of RS Dragan Kekic assessed in Belgrade at the Fourth Assembly of the Yugoslavian citizens and emigrants abroad - the donators of humanitarian aid - that the humanitarian situation in RS is upsetting. "The donors conference is delayed and the consequences could be more difficult than in 1996, when RS had got only 2% of international aid intended for B&H", stressed Mr. Kekic.

BANJA LUKA - The president of Social-Liberal Party /SLS/ of RS announced at the press conference in Banja Luka, the soon forming "the Shadow Government". He accused the state Radio- Television that boycotts the work of this party and added: "I don't know how it could be explained that our meetings about renewal and development of RS, problems of refugees and displaced persons, local self-government and in general our endeavours for normal life are not interesting for the public".

SARAJEVO - The Customs agreement of RS and FR Yugoslavia is interpreted by Moslem authorities in Sarajevo as the desire for secession. The minister of the foreign trade in the Council of Ministers of B&H Hasan Muratovic deems that "there is a danger that the adoption of the joint customs agreement would be led into question".

BELGRADE - The Croatian member of the Presidency of B&H Kresimir Zubak thinks that the presiding Alija Izetbegovic is "frequently on road" and that he "is missing the decisiveness", which makes the work of this body more difficult. In an interview for "Nasa Borba", he stressed that the members of the Presidency "agreed that they will meet every week", but that "it is not possible". While criticising the work of the Presidency and lack of effectiveness, he assessed that "there is very little progress" in solving problems.

SARAJEVO - The unknown persons made arson of the house of the Moslem Emina Sejdic form Jajce, and she was beaten and tried to be raped - reported the Moslem Radio Sarajevo. Because of the heavy physical injuries Emina Sejdic was transported yesterday in hospital in Travnik.

SARAJEVO - Under the slogan "Judge him if you have evidence, or set him free" tomorrow in Kiseljak will be held the peaceful protest as a sign of support to general Tihomil Blaskic, who is in the custody in Hague indicted for war crimes - stated the Croatian Radio Herceg-Bosna.
