Washington -- White House Press Secretary Mike McCurry announced May 13
that Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) President Kiro Gligorov
has accepted an invitation for a working visit to Washington June
17.
Following is the text of McCurry's statement:

President Clinton has invited President Kiro Gligorov of the Former
Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to Washington for a working visit on June
17. President Gligorov has accepted. This will be the first meeting between
the two leaders, who will discuss a wide range of bilateral and regional
issues and review the overall security situation in the south Balkans.
