[01] TOURISTS VISITING TURKEY IN JANUARY INCREASE BY 47.3 PERCENT

ANKARA - Totally 533,653 tourists visited Turkey in January, 2004 with an increase of 47.3 percent when compared to the same month in 2003.

ANKARA - Totally seven civilians who were wounded in terrorist attacks against offices of Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (IKDP) and Iraqi Patriotic Union for Kurdistan (PUK) in Irbil on Feb. 1 were brought to Ankara for medical treatment as a result of Turkey's initiatives.
